Worst roller coaster you've ever ridden.

^ What is it for you? (Head banging, knee discomfort, or the guy problem?)

All of the above..

Stand up straight on Mantis with your feet back, and you shouldn't have the guy problem. Hold on and lean with the turns, you shouldn't have any head banging.

Shifting weight between each of your legs and the seat can help with the knee problem, especially in the second half of the ride.

Whatever you do, make sure you don't get the seat locked too high up.

I haven't ridden many coasters, but I'm really hesitant to go on The Racer again. It is just a bit too rough for me.

...Plus my lapbar restraint somehow tightened one notch furter than it was supposed to in the middle of the ride. Never had that happen before. There are certain circumstances in which I would welcome something pressing that hard on my thighs, but in the middle of The Racer is not one of those circumstances.

That happened to me once on Racer. Hit me a little different. It was not a pleasant experience, but not enough to keep me off Racer.

One should NEVER have to ride defensively to avoid being hurt. If one must, the ride is a bad ride by definition. And how are first time riders supposed to know "the method?"

The Roller Coaster At New York New York Casino. Truly terrible, looks so wonderful. Isn't.

Runner Up: Ninja. Six Flags Over Georgia. Not even close to the worst, but far worse than the rest I've ridden.

And when I was there the Roller Coaster was $25 a ride. Togo or not Togo...

The one is Circus Circus I think might be the worst for me. Didn't ride the one at New York.

I agree. Alas, many rides exist which can give painful rides for some guests if not ridden defensively, so such discussions are common in forums like these. Many fans want to be able to enjoy everything.

In the case of Mantis, most discomfort is avoided by simply riding as verbally instructed by the ride operator. Hopefully first time riders are listening.

Maverick can be quite painful for some if not ridden defensively, making it a rather bad ride for those people. I certainly hated it following my first ride.

Hurler is terrible...

Which one? And how so?

The layout is bland, the trains are ugly, killed with trims, almost no airtime, and the ride is just plain bumpy and uncomfortable. I don't really have a preference, they are both mehh.

I don't want to start a new topic, but when I was at CP this week there was no lines for Mantis, can they put new trains that don't require a mans manhood being squashed on the ride? I think my wife likes that ride only to watch poor Jr suffer! :o If you can honestly handle riding Mantis and your a man, I guess your blessed in this one moment!

I wish, I usually just bend my knees slightly to adjust the restraint and then when its locked u stand up straight so its not pressing against you.

I tried that, it's no use for some of us! No details need apply, I just cant take the beating. My question is why is the line dead? Why doesn't CP fix the issue? Make it a sit down coaster so the line is long! Pun not intended!

You started the discussion about why my man parts didn't get crushed on Mantis. Don't complain when I give you the answer. :P

(But yes, I seem to have a habit of giving too much information in discussions like this. Maybe I should just stay out of them to begin with...)
