DonHelbig Posted August 4, 2014 Share Posted August 4, 2014 On Saturday, August 9, Kings Island will attempt to surpass the world record for the most people applying sunscreen simultaneously to help raise awareness and money for the fight against cancers affecting men, women and children. The Guinness Book of Records shows the current record at 1,822 people applying sunscreen simultaneously. That was achieved by the Ann’s Hope Foundation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 18, 2014. The Kings Island initiative is part of its Kicks Cancer campaign to raise awareness for Melanoma Know More and will take place at 12:00 p.m. in the Showplace Theatre on International Street. Cincinnati Reds all-star third baseman Todd Frazier will join park visitors in the record-breaking attempt.
