Could the haunt attractions back by Dinosaur Alive be removed? There’s changes to the site since last week:

Heavily doubt it. Can still see the barn back on the site. The removal of a sign almost means nothing. They can always bring it back out for Haunt. Maybe they could be moving the entrance.

Yeah, and they completely removed the footer as well. #itsgone

Just as a note for those who are Photoshopping (or MSPainting, I won't judge :P) screenshots of Google satellite views: If you are using Google Maps to get those views, please open the menu in the upper left and disable 3D. Leaving 3D on (the default every time you open Google Maps) gives you outdated imagery from 2012, showing things like SOB. Turning 3D off replaces that with the latest imagery, currently from April 12, 2017, showing things that didn't exist in 2012 (like Banshee and Mystic Timbers). Unfortunately there is no way to permanently set 3D off; you must manually turn it off every time you load or reload Google Maps.

So just on The Racer, and the entire pathway running perpendicular to the coaster has been cleared. Not only that, signs of heavy machinery on site is visible. This was not seen last week.

Also, the preparation for construction for Fury 325 happened in 2013, so if this project were to be a Giga, we may be looking at 2020, or 2021 timeslot.

And before someone mentions it, the heavy machinery tracks were off road, where the Dino’s used to be.

This has nothing to do with those hilarious Racer rumors online.

THIS THREAD NEEDED TO DIE ABOUT 50 PAGES AGO!  THERE IS NO AND NEVER HAS BEEN ANY CREDIBLE EVIDENCE OF A GIGA COMING! The park just ot MT in2017, they aren't getting another coaster any time soon. Not coming in 2019, 2020 Cedar Point is getting something big and they aren't going to put in a Giga in the closest park to CP.  Also, CP & KI getting a coaster the same year happened once, KI got a Vekona flyer as a relocation from Geuga and CP got Maverick, obvious who got the best of that. Next coaster for Ki is likely 2021 at the earliest.   The needs of the park are currently to improve its poor flat ride collection.  Just think maybe they are clearing for flat ride package that is badly needed. The second priority of the park should be to do revamp the Invertigo and Congo Falls corner, which is a dead zone.  Those 2 rides are walk ons to  short wait in the middle of the summer.  The only reason Invertigo gets a line is the capacity is horrendous like all Boomerangs. There are so many things needed before a giga,ie..even a decent dark ride,,Boo Blasters sucks!

Yeah, but Cedar Point has an invert, according to your reasoning they would never install Banshee, Mystic Timbers, anything. In fact if a Giga was installed in 2020,Millenium Force would be 20 years old, and doesn’t have the marketability it did in 2000.

If people want to speculate, let them. It's harmless. Mostly.

You missed the point, fanboy logic substituted instead by necessity. Banshee, MT are irrelevant, and hopefully you'r smart enough to know that,  It's not having the same type of coaster, it's called what parks need and produce ROI.  KI doesn't need another coaster for a while, it his glaring things it needs that cost less and will produce a ROI by appealing to the full spectrum of patrons.

Yes, and KI still within top 4 in profit margins and ROI. Several parks outside top 4 have Gigas.

Wow, you really do miss the point at every chance. KD and Carowinds got gigas for a reason, their coaster line ups were lacking. Those investments improved their Revenue/EBIDTA b/c the parks needed a big thrill attraction.  Also, Carowinds has been selected with a long term plan to be the "Thrill Capital of the Southeast".  CF did an entire investor presentation on it.  KI in contrast, has a good coaster lineup with multiple top end coasters, just got a new coaster and has good EBIDTA.  However will be  past by Wonderland soon in EBIDTA, if not FY 2017 when released. KI has no need to have a 30M investment when filling the holes in the park, mentioned before will produce a better ROI.  Do yo have any holes in the park can be filled for 30M spread over a few years, compared to a giga which is just wanted by fanboys and enthusiasts .

I agree with some of what you are saying, but to say only "fanboys" and "enthusiasts" want a Giga may be an exaggeration. Have you ever seen the lines for DB while at the park compared to the other rides? Just making an observation.

There's a piece of advice I've learned here over the years that should be aptly applied to this thread.

Just because event B happened after event A doesn't mean event A caused event B.

I think you guys are stretching and grasping at many, many coincidences.

Also, another bit of advice I've picked up, those who know don't speak, those who speak don't know.

Lacking? Carowinds At T Road, Intimidator, Nighthawk, and Afterburn. The park with a lacking lineup is Valleyfair.

Yes, Carwoinds lineup was lacking before Fury.  Nighthawk is pure garbage like all Vekoma Duthcman, Thunder Road was a mid 1970's rough wod coaster and was thus removed. Vortex(stand ups inherently are poor) and Hurler is mediocre to be kind.  Cedar Fair wanted Carowinds to be an elite park, thus they needed at least 3 big quality coasters. They had Intimidator and Afterburn, Fury 325 was the third. It was the launch point for the massive investments to make Carowinds "The thrill capital of the southeast".  The water park addition , new gate.front area, food complex and now the upcoming hotel and new park section with a coaster in 2019,  Btw, the ROI has been great turning this park into a high quality park and eventual elite one.

Btw. a giga would be a better ROI and bet for CGA, though the don't really have the space and they have high issues with FAA potentially.  But if those issues were solvable  it would put CGA on the map and could have a Carowinds like effect.  However, CGA is going to do a hyper which will have a similar effect,  as their next coaster. CGA will have the tallest coaster in northern CA, topping anything at Six Flagg Discovery Kingdom and the other smaller competition.

It’s either a hyper or Wicked Twister

I don't see another coaster until at least 2021. I think we are going to get a flat ride package similar to what Carowinds did in 2017. Mystic Timbers was actually needed because it provides a new wooden experience to the park and gives something more families could enjoy together. Banshee was needed because the park was lacking a good invert. Looking at what @Grobble said, I think we are going to get a flat ride package to help out our not so good flat ride collection. I also think a good dark ride is on it's way in the near future since Boo Blasters is more of a kiddy dark ride. I think something like Voyage to the Iron Reef would be a great fit. I definitely see them expanding Planet Snoopy as well since KI will want to keep the title as the best kids area. Our next coaster imo would be a giga in the left corner of Action Zone replacing Congo Falls and Invertigo going near the front entrance. Imo, if they don't break records with this giga, it would still bring a ton of people to the park since the idea of dropping 300+ feet at over 90 mph really catches the GP's eye. ROI is a big key and a giga would bring in more people. Yes, KI does get crazy attendance, but a giga would really spike attendance. Also, a B&M giga would be great for the large crowds since they are people eaters. Look at Fury and Leviathan, those are great people eaters. Again, I see flat rides, a dark ride, a kids area expansion, and then a giga.

They do not have the same exact coaster.

Exactly. DK has height restrictions so they had to change their impulse coaster significantly. CGA doesn't have the same height restrictions so they can get an impulse coaster that provides a different ride experience.
