How many amusement parks (and theme parks) have you visited?

Well, haven't made a poll in ages, but this thought popped in my head and I thought it was a good one, if a bit obvious and simple: how many different amusement parks (and theme parks of course) have you been to so far? Oh, while I will leave it up to you, I personally won't be counting places that are only technically considered amusement parks because they have 1 small kiddie coaster or something- such as a zoo, or a big video game arcade/go-kart track that happens to have a wacky worm, etc etc. but it's up to you if you wanna count those or not. Personally the one place like that I can think of I have been to would be the Indianapolis Zoo, but I also have never ridden their "Kombo" kiddie coaster, so that's my 2nd reason for not counting it...

I have been to four, and since I remember it, I'll include the years of my first visit: Indiana Beach (1999), Kings Island (2000), Holiday World (2010), and Cedar Point (2017). Yeah, I am not the most seasoned person out there when it comes to getting around to amusement and theme parks. Someone will probably blow that away only a few posts, if that. :P Still, even with those few parks, I have already ridden some great rides and made lasting memories with friends. Hopefully in the future I can spread my "wings" a bit more, and will add more parks to my list.

Enjoy the poll!

I've been around to quite a few parks.  My family took vacations a lot, and about every other one involved an amusement park visit.  All of these sans the bottom 4 are parks my family took me to.   Since my family isn't into that much anymore, I'm on my own to expand my repertoire.

Here's my list.

Kings Island

Coney Island (didn't ride anything)

Cedar Point

Hersheypark

Paramount's Kings Dominion (at the time)

Six Flags Great Adventure

Dollywood

Walt Disney World- Magic Kingdom and EPCOT

Universal Studios Florida

Kentucky Kingdom

Holiday World

Michigan's Adventure

Kennywood

That is a pretty decent list of parks...quick question on the bolded Universal, though- just studios, or Islands of Adventure AND Studios? I did see you "broke up" the 2 Disney World parks, and Universal (and most sources) do consider the Florida parks 2 parks as each one has its own ticket.

I've been to USF twice, actually.  The year before we as a family went, my dad took me down to see a space shuttle launch during spring break and we shoehorned in USF.

Fun fact, the shuttle launch I went to was Columbia's last successful mission.

Lately, I've been meaning to get back to some of those parks and pick up the stuff they've added since as well as adding in other parks.  I do like doing other things on these kinds of trips, too.  I like a bit of variety and spontaneity.

I'm dying to get back to Dollywood.

I've been to 47. (If all goes to plan, Disneyland will be my 50th!) I see @McSalsa's point about not counting places that don't really have significant/any coasters, but Epcot is such a weird halfway point in those rules (no coasters, but I love the place and it's definitely a park) that I ended up counting every park I've been to, including places like the Columbus Zoo.

The list: Animal Kingdom, Beech Bend, Busch Gardens Tampa, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Camden Park, Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, Castles 'n' Coasters, Cedar Point, Columbus Zoo, Coney Island (Cincinnati), Conneaut Lake Park, Dollywood, Dorney Park, Epcot, Fun Spot America (Kissimmee), Fun Spot America (Orlando), Hersheypark, Holiday World, Hollywood Studios, Indiana Beach, Islands of Adventure, Kemah Boardwalk, Kennywood, Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Dominion, Kings Island, Knoebels, Luna Park (New York), Magic Kingdom, Michigan's Adventure, Nickelodeon Universe, SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Antonio, Six Flags America, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags St. Louis, Stricker's Grove, Universal Studios Florida, Waldameer, Worlds of Fun, and ZDT's Amusement Park.

Coming soon: Silver Dollar City, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, California Adventure, and Knott's Berry Farm.

My favorites: Animal Kingdom and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

My least favorite: either Six Flags America or Six Flags New England.

Kings Island, Cedar Point, Americana, Fantasy Farm (probably at least once although I was too young to remember), Coney Island Cincy, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Six Flags Great America (I guess, whichever is near Chicago), Disney World (Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Epcot), Disneyland, Dollywood. So twelve.

And ones that probably don't count as parks precisely: Stratosphere in Las Vegas, and Forest Fair mall in its prime.
