Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas

Recommended Posts

A few weeks ago we traveled Orlando not for Disney but to embark on my first ever cruise on the Harmony of the Seas. I was nervous has I hard so many bad things about cruises in the past.

Upon our arrival in Port Canaveral we had an hour or two before we could board. Our first stop was some breakfast at one of the local diners. Fast and friendly service and A+ food at a great price. We still had a few minutes to kill so we stopped and walked around Mantee park.

It was almost time to board the ship so we parked our car at a local long term parking lot and shuttled over to the ship  I have never been on a cruise before and have only seen the ships from a distance so I was in complete awe when I saw how large the ship was.  The check In process was a complete breeze even with the couple thousand people waiting to get on.  The hostess was even kind enough to grant us priority boarding since we were traveling with our 6 month old.  We got onto the ship and walked around on deck 5 and explored some of the shops and restaurants.

After that we headed to deck 15 to shoot some basketball while we waiting for our room to be cleaned. It was around 3:30 when we got to our room and received our sea pass cards.  Once our baggage was delivered we headed up to deck 16 to watch the ship pull away from the dock and our vacation to begin. While I am not going to go into detail of what we did each day I will say it was awesome trip. They even had a free baby sitting service so my wife and I could enjoy some of the adult shows and dinners without boring our 6 year too much.

Very cool!  I never thought I'd want to go on a cruise, but as I get older it becomes more and more tempting.  Glad you had fun!!

Good stuff! Never been on a cruise but I’ve heard that I’d really enjoy it! That water slide looked cool and that picture of the hot tub so close to the ocean is surreal! Also, that pool picture with people looking down from the upper deck reminds me of the Cruise Ship level in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 lol

Cruising is probably my favorite type of vacation. I love the water and the beaches. Some boats are better than others and some ports are not great, but overall, I'll take that over your typical land based vacations.

That infinity hot tub was 15 stories up from the ocean.  A] cruise is a great way to visit multiple countries.  We went to St. Marteen, St. Thomas, and Co-Co Kay.  They actually had three water slides on the ship and a dry slide which was awesome!  See youtube video below.  We are already planning a cruise for 2021 to Alaska.

My wife and I love RC.  We got engaged on the Harmony 2 years ago, cruised on her sister the Symphony last year and are going back on Harmony in Jan.  Great ships with lots to do! Plus, a quick pre-cruise trip to the Studios to see SWL!

Always thought taking a cruise would be fun. I might have to try that one of these days.

We've done 5 cruises now, we love it!  We enjoyed the Oasis class ship we did last year, but for whatever reason, we seem to like the Freedom class ships a little better, which we have done twice, the last on Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston this May.

Felt the Oasis was awesome with all the separate areas, especially the central park, but the sheer size made it tough to walk around to get anywhere, and having to pre-book shows with a large group was a pain.  Freedom class ship, while a click smaller, just fits us better.

I would highly recommend to anyone here to do a cruise.
