I think it's a brilliant marketing move.  If I were to win, I might go 3 times a year since I live six hours away.  And I go between gold at KI and Platinum, so if it were a platinum year, it would be moot.  Plus, living this far away, I don't know who I would give the 4 other tickets to.  Minimum cost, lots of good press.

They mentioned at Winter Chill Out that upgrades (dining, drinks, Platinum, etc) could optionally be purchased each year to add to the prize (which will be delivered annually as a CP Gold pass).
