IndyGuy4KI Posted April 14 Share Posted April 14 So I just got off the Red Racer. It has now had the rest of its tracked completely. Overhauled. That is the best ride on that I have ever had on The Racer. You can tell the track is still a little stiff, but as soon as it wears in a little bit, holy cow. I feel like I remember someone saying that the new track can't be painted for a while after it gets installed, but I can't remember why. rlentless Posted April 14 Share Posted April 14 Is it pressure treated wood? If so, painting it too soon can actually cause the boards to warp, plus you run the risk of major paint adhesion issues. After a few months, give it the tried and true moisture test. johnjniehaus Posted April 14 Share Posted April 14 Red was running very well when I rode it. Really hope they do blue this next off season. silver2005 Posted April 16 Share Posted April 16 That new track might take a bit to break in, I noticed quite a vibration from the turn around all the way to the brake run. DJSkyFoxx Posted April 18 Share Posted April 18 I rode it Sunday and although I found it to be smoother, I still think it would have been even more so had I ridden it when it was warmer. Klabergian Empire Posted April 23 Share Posted April 23 I rode the red side of Racer today. In my genuine opinion, Red racer is now BUTTER SMOOTH for a wooden coaster.
