House of Blues bringing concerts to PKI

Recommended Posts

By Erica Solvig : The Cincinnati Enquirer

MASON - House of Blues Concerts Inc. is bringing events to several Paramount theme parks, including Kings Island, park officials have announced.

House of Blues Entertainment, the concert promoter's parent company, was founded in 1992 and has a number of 1,000-2,000 capacity clubs, including those in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Chicago and Orlando. The Los Angeles-based entertainment company also books events for about 20 venues across North America.

House of Blues now will also be promoting events at Kings Island, Paramount's Carowinds in Charlotte, N.C. and Paramount's Kings Dominion in Doswell, Va.

Specific concerts at Kings Island's TimberWolf Amphitheatre have not yet been announced.

Concerts there were previously promoted by Jam Productions, Kings Island spokeswoman Maureen Boothe said Friday.

I saw this in the Enquier today.

Not bad!

Some decent bands come to PKI.. not nearly as many as I would like, though. :(

so roaming over pollstar's site... looks like HOB Entertainment is getting started early with this whole bringing in names things.... i found 2 dates announced for timberwolf so far... one which is no surprise Michael W. Smith on August 14th, however one that i found very surprising, and has me ready for some music is Reliant K with Audio Adrenaline on july 9th! Woo Hoo! For anybody that knows these two bands... they really know how to rock out! I love it!

I do believe that the concert on July 9th is part of the park`s annual Spirit Song Celebration.
