I'd move Charlie Brown's Rushing River Log Ride and Linus Launchers to be part of Rivertown and revert CBRRLR to be the "Kings Mill Log Flume" and Linus Launchers to be something woodsy/rustic. Rivertown needs at least one flat ride (aside from the KI & MV RR), and it would make sense to reincorporate these into the area. Camp Snoopy and Planet Snoopy could either be combined or remain separate. I feel like Cedar Fair was planning to renew the Peanuts license agreement when they chose to install Camp Snoopy at Kings Island and the two new CS rides at Carowinds. I can't imagine Six Flags wants to bear the cost of having to replace all of that Peanuts signage, figures, branding, and characters right now. We'll probably understand more about their plans when Great America announces their new 2026 kids area.
I very much do not want to see Action Zone become a DC land. They can put DC or Looney Tunes in Planet Snoopy/Camp Snoopy, just don't force IPs like that into more of the park.
Either way, this is an awesome concept!
Id like to place strong emphasis and agreement on some of your last points here. Given an already small number being available for any cap-ex in 2026, it would make me incredibly happy to have the amount earmarked for KI to be put towards those types of improvements.... right now $18 million (purely speculative number used for example) will go MUCH further towards turning a minefield into a parking lot, stocking drink cups and flavoring syrup for Freestyle machines, and allowing sufficient staff to keep 3 train ops and clean restrooms/midways than it will towards any wood or steel constructed ride or attraction. That is the reason this park drew me back and away from the joint up north, like I said good ops, food, and entertainment hold my attention far better than a new shiny $25 mil coaster at a dump.
After 17 visits to Kings Island and one visit each to Carowinds, Kings Dominion, Six Flags America, and Dorney Park this season I have only received one survey opportunity. It was from Six Flags America. While I understand that they go out to a random selection of guests for each day's visits, it's perplexing that last year I received 5 surveys from Kings Island and not even one this year.
I don't have high hopes for Kings Island receiving its promised 2026 Family Thrill Attraction since it seemed rather low on the totem pole, but I do hope we can at least see more investment throughout the park if it doesn't happen. Maybe they could do some work to improve the parking lot or plant more trees? There's still at least five restrooms that need to be renovated as well. Maybe the park/Six Flags could look into a partnership with a solar shade company like the Cincinnati Zoo did in 2014. Anything comprehensive would be better than nothing, I simply fear that we are headed toward nothing.
I have got a lot of thinking and soul searching to do, as well as watching to see who gets put in place to winch the USS FUNtanic up from the sea floor before I make a decision on getting back in, and Im telling you if HW/SS were to implement their own version of FastLane Id take the option of their Season Pass instead. That is the one, single scale tipper for me.... yep First World problems and it makes me sound like a Richard, Im good with that... but thats what even puts the idea of a Six Flags pass in the running.
I really hope that SF’s management does recognize and honor the historical significance of Peanuts at KBF—that would be a shame to lose considering Charles Schulz’s close ties to California. According to the internet, Peanuts at KBF goes back to the early 80s and Walter and Cordelia Knott negotiated the initial IP agreement directly with Schulz. But, when dollars and cents are involved, who knows what decision they’ll make…
