Thanks that worked

I was able to park at KD with a Canada’s Wonderland gold all perk pass this weekend. No issue. I even was able to get my physical (gold) card issued at KD since my previous card was platinum. However when trying to put the new card into Carowinds app, it won’t work. It worked on the Canada’s Wonderland, KD, KI and CP apps. When I went to Carowinds at new years their gate and restaurant would not recognize my season pass but it worked at guest relations. It doesn’t seem that they have fixed their linking issue with other parks.

Recent thened train installations at Cedar Fair parks include Mystic Timbers, Twisted Timbers, Copperhead Strike, Steel Vengeance, Zambezi Zinger, plus the two Intimadators, The concept art for this ride looked like it would be themed.

So they didn’t spend money to theme the train nose. It’s a standard Vekoma train with stickers.

I just saw on a video last night that the high quality Phantom Theater was only there for 10 years. That awful, cheap replacement has been there for over 20 years. How can a piece of garbage like the current ride exist for that long?

The early performances at the bandstand are rough on the performers and especially the dancers. They are in the direct, blazing heat with no sun. Just as bad, the dancers are forced to dance on hard concrete instead of a proper stage with some shock absorption built in. At Kings Dominion their bandstand is pretty well shaded and it is built higher up so you can actually see the performers when there’s a crowd. But that park has allowed to sit down venues to sit empty the last several years while forcing the performers to perform outdoors in the very hot Virginia heat, and forcing the audience to stand up. At least Kings Island is using their theaters.

I thought Center Stage Live was just about perfect for a theme park show It was disappointing that it only ran 1 year. it’s a shame they put the show that usually showcases in the best way the talent of the singers and the dancers on that awful concrete outdoor stage, with no seating for the audience while lesser quality shows get the better venues. The one year the bandstand show Off The Charts was at International Showplace was nice. You could sit down and actually see the performers

Not the talent. The playlist and format . When 1/3 of a show is TV show themes, it’s cringeworthy. Additionally the show followed the same snippety format most other Festhaus shows follow. Small snippets of songs that don’t really showcase the vocalist talent The Feasthaud shows cast too many vocalists as well. So each one only sings a little in the show. Coupled with is what usually high school level choreography because they cast all vocalists instead of vocalists and dedicated dancers. The formula used for Retroseoct and especially Center Stsge Live (less vocalists with a dedicated dancers / longer versions of songs / dancers doing higher level choreography ) is a much better format to showcase the performance talents

When I went to Carowinds at New Year’s my all parks pass didn’t work at all. If I gave them my name at the main gate with ID, they could look it up on the system, but the pass on my phone did not work. Addionally, my dining plan did not work anywhere during that visit. I had to go to customer service and get meal tickets. They could look up my pass at customer service, but not at the restaurants. it was three different results at three different places in the park (gate, customer, service, and dining) i’m assuming my pass was not working at the parking lot either but they waved me on because of the back up of traffic

At least there are still 4 shows (for a month lol) The biggest disappointment is the bubble show. That theater is a great space for a real production The country shows have not been good. But the 70s show was pretty cringy. Retrospect was good but not how they split it into two short shows. I wonder if they will cut the cast from the bike show. It was big the last two seasons. It won’t be surprising if they do.

Unfortunately, if this ride ever does come back, I don’t believe it will have many animatronics. Look at what Cedar Fair did when they brought back Knotts Berry Tales as a shell of its former self

Judging by the unethical way that Cedar Fair is known to do business quest, I just feel there’s something $neaky involved in the switch from Platinum to All Parks. Maybe I’m wrong, but I do not trust them.

I think age also makes in realize that most rides are boring and repetitive after a few times in a row and there are other things to do……

It’s such an eyesore at all of the parks. Good riddance anywhere that removes it. But it’s the worst eyesore at Carowinds in the center of the park. After paramount absolutely decimated the center of the park by removing the riverboat Cedar Fair came along and made it worse.

“Together We’re Better” is always the first song that comes to mind for KI because of that sequence of that show. I think this song pops in my head every time I go there.
