  1. You know what Rivertown could really use? More water. I miss Swan Lake and Kenton's Cove.

  2. Please, not another B&M! A Vekoma would be alright, and obviously an RMC amazing. We need something with a different feel, though. I also do worry that our baby coaster for the year will be used to buy KI at least another 2-3 years before building anything significant, which sucks.

  3. Current ride operator here! To address the subject of line jumpers: As you probably already know, line jumping is strictly prohibited at Kings Island. ANYONE who sees line jumping should speak with a ride operator as soon as possible about it. Almost every coaster at Kings Island has a distributer (who tells you what row to go to) and that is usually the first person you can go to when reporting line jumpers. Another way to report line jumpers is to text (513) 434-6337 which will go directly to KI security. Something else I should mention. When guests are reporting line jumpers, there needs to be two or more different parties that saw the suspected line jumping. Only when two or more different parties witness line jumping can the ride operator tell the line jumpers to go to the end of the line and wait their turn. However, if a ride operator sees line jumping for themselves, they will tell the line jumpers to go to the back of the line and wait their turn. Failure by line jumpers to comply in either situation will result in either a ride supervisor to tell them to go to the back of the line or KI security being called. That is how our line jumping policy was explained to me during training.

  4. Figured I'd add some positive reviews lol. I recently tried the burnt ends at Coney BBQ. And as someone who loves a good BBQ, I can confidently say that they've hit the nail on the head! I've now had the burnt ends several times and every time I've had them they've been cooked very good. The little bits of fat melts in your mouth and the sauce on them is just SO GOOD. The hush puppy they give you is also really good (big fan of hush puppies lol). I'd say the best side you can get with the burnt ends is the mac and cheese. All of that combined is very good and its now my go to meal at KI. Very close to the burnt ends in second place is, of course, the pub burger at the Brewhouse. I had my first one of the season last visit before I had to clock in and it was very good as always.

  5. Formatted like a recipe website too. The kind that are filled with fodder to make you scroll to the part you want thus boosting ad impressions. And this was clearly AI generated with a few (very poor) human touches. Inside The Magic is straight trash.

  6. Idk about you, but KI having the first ever Giga sized bench would be pretty dope!

  7. I feel bad for the artist. Granted I have never heard of this individual artist, I know that typically when one conducts a Google image search, the image generates from a website more often than not and usually includes a watermark if it is copyrighted material. The fact that whoever stole this work just took it upon themselves to take it without ever contacting the artist is just pathetic and sad. Not to mention very tacky not to respond to the artist's correspondence in regards to said stolen work. This artist seems like a class act in how they are trying to handle this, but I also just feel so bad for them. Art is a gift to the world and stealing it is low and degrading. I would be very upset if someone stole my art or music and didn't ask permission. Chances are, if someone asked me to use any of my materials I would happily oblige so long as I was given the fair credit. That's why a lot of artists are broke when they are alive because they are usually just happy to be involved and be recognized. Money is nice and obviously a great bonus if a living can be made off of doing creative and fulfilling work. But I know a lot more artists who do it just for the fun of it without gaining much money and are just happy to be given credit when paired with other artists or in this case, a large company who EASILY could have either paid this creator or given them some kind of exchange. A season pass. A VIP experience. Literally anything, but moreover, CREDIT!!!!

  8. Paging @VortexBFForever. Is this something that can possibly be checked on? It would be cool to have that audio working again.

  9. Probably could have gotten the logo for free if they reached out to the artist to say, "we want to use your logo in our on ride photo." We will offer you free advertising with a blog and social post to user it on our on ride photo." Easy PR and helps the artist all without costing the park any more additional money bedsides the few hours of comms time that they are already paying anyway. Sure seems like the company is working harder at looking bad instead of working smarter. I am sure some poster will cross examine with their thoughts soon.

  10. I’ve been meaning to mention that Orion’s soundtrack has been blasting throughout Area 72 this year and I absolutely love it. It really sets the mood. However I’m disappointed that they either don’t play the soundtrack in the station anymore or it’s too quiet to hear. When it played in the station in the past it really reminded me of Millennium Force’s station. It’s a shame that they don’t play it anymore.

  11. Evan Millward was one of the marketing interns at Kings Island in 2008, helping the park execute successful events like Robbie Knievel's motorcycle jump.
