  1. TT2 Pit Stop Episode 3 was just posted. The ride is coming along nicely. Interesting to note that the LSMs extend all the way to the start of the curve for the spike. Also the modern proximity switches look like they don't extend as far above the track...

  2. The Banshee crew has impressed me so many times. I don’t visit the park as a guest much these days, but a while back I remember them consistently having a full train ready almost as soon as the lift hill was clear. It was amazing.

  3. They make exceptions for medical bags. They put a band on the bag. Source: Friend of mine was able to get in with a bag larger than the limit, they put a band on it and let her in after explaining that it contains medical supplies.

  5. Regarding the meal plans, it's not only the existence of them, it's also how frictionless they've made it to add them on to daily visits, often sacrificing some gate pricing integrity via packages. Consider, if a mere 1 in 5 guests opts for a daily dining plan at $34 when they buy their ticket online, that's a cool ~$185 million in annual revenue generated before a guest has even walked in the gate. Yes, some of that will overlap with in park per cap that would have already existed, but not all of it. Couple that with CF's efforts to not only improve the quality of food, but especially their efforts to streamline food operations with modern, efficient facilities (e.g. Harmony Hall, Farmhouse, etc.), and it's clear why they have seen such gains in revenue. Plus, long lines during peak attendance days would have the effect of preventing a nonzero number of guests from getting in line. Folks with an already-paid-for dining plan will be more likely to queue up regardless of how long the line is.

  6. I thought about a B&M flyer but they are maintenance nightmares having so many components. And CF didn’t purchase one back when they were popular so I really don’t see it happening. Vekoma offers a similar reliability and I just think they would do a flyer way better. I hear that even Vekoma flyers have airtime.

  7. Those supplies that you were worried about leaving in the car can be left at first aid. Glucose tablets can fit nicely in a zipper pocket as can an insulin pen either as a pump back up or primary source of insulin. If on a pump and/or CGM, extra supplies can be left at first aid. Dislodged infusion set or sensor is not emergent. Ive done all this for 11 seasons without issue. Epi pens would be a similar issue. There is no reason to carry around a kitchen sink in the park.

  8. For as long as I remember it was as you experienced. If you entered the park any time prior to Haunt and left you had to return to the park before the no entry time. If the language is confusing, well seems to be the norm with Cedar Fair lol. They always figure out a way to make it confusing even though they think it is clear LOL. But yes, according to that screenshot, it is different than what they enforce. Yet the FAQ says something different:

  9. The people on this site really not good examples of what average is when it comes to utilization. The pass price and meal plan price make sense in context with how many times they are used on average, when considering every pass holder, not just a small group of dedicated individuals. Most passes really are not being used more than a handful of times a year. For every pass holder going 20+ times a year there are multiple only going 1, 2, 3 times. This is an old number and I cannot remember the source, but back around 2016 or 2017 I believe, the average was somewhere between 3 and 4. I have never heard any hints at what average use is for the meal plan. But it’s obviously low enough that the chain is making a good deal of money at the current price. I am positive there are guests that get enough meals the park and the chain lose money on the meal plan, do they make it back on merchandise and other spending, maybe. Whatever my meal plan costs Cedar Fair is easily paid for from my in park spending and that I have a prestige pass and season long Fast Lane. Raising the price risks losing those guests who don’t really use it frequently. The price point was decided to try to maximize revenue and profits, using data we don’t have access to. They are selling the idea of unlimited, and using data to support how often it actually is used. Guests are really bad at estimating how often they actually use their pass and meal plan.

  10. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me " Since the debacle that Cedar Fair has had with RMC, they have become very conservative with large investments, going with what they know. (TT2 is an outlier). I think they would want a more proven flyer from vekoma. Fly looks really good, but are there more of these in existence? If they wanted a flyer, I think they would go with B&M because the reliability. But even they are tricky and require more staff to operate.

  13. No, It is not extreme. That model name is misleading. Unless those trains can spin extreme and SDC does not allow them to on TT? I rode TT 5 times this summer, and the only time it was remotely extreme was when we were the only ones on that car and the balance was off. Even then, it was not what I call extreme. It has just enough of a "spin" that each ride gives you a new experience on each element of the ride. Nicole does not do spinning flats at all, and she rode it the 5 times with me. If that gives you any indication.
