I'm a member of ACE and GOCC. I will be joining Coaster Crew and the Western NY Coaster Club soon.
While not an official coaster club, being a part of KIC is similar to being in one of the clubs because of the people involved and the camaraderie amongst members.
While not ideal to go head-to-head with another event, that's not why Coasterstock didn't sell out in minutes like it had in previous years. If the park wants to reach out to me, I can share with them for a nominal fee, of course, tips on how to sell out a roller coaster event in 15 minutes or less!
With it being the same weekend as Holiwood Nights, I feel the demand isn't as high as it was in past years where it was the only coaster event happening within the general area.
Either that, or they raised the attendance cap.
The event was sold out by late this afternoon. KI did a much better job of simplifying ticket purchases this year than they have in past as well. I do think it doesn’t make any difference how long it takes to reach maximum capacity for a sell out as long as the event sells out (and in this case sold out three month ahead of time)! There have been years where other parks such as CP Coastermania took over a week to sell out (but likely not this year at CP with two major coasters opening/re-opening). It will be exciting to see old friends and meet new coaster friends this May.
There’s just way too much going on that single weekend. To be frank with you I will be coming off a whole week in Epic Universe, I had no plans on doing HWN or Coasterstock as it’s just way too much happening all at once. I’m not shocked, in the slightest, that this event did not sell out because HWN took precedent as it went on sale first.
I preferred TTD to Kingda Ka. Kingda Ka was rough and the OTSR's were definitely a pain. I will only miss this ride for Zumanjaro, that was an epic Drop Tower!
Also sharing the video I posted in the other thread:
It will be essential they get news media outlets throughout the region to do a standalone story on this now, and they follow up talking about it as part of the opening day stories. Otherwise, as you mention, guest services is going to have a very hard time.
I'mThis will be the first Coasterstock I've missed.
I am stepping away from Six Flags for a season to refresh and renew my perspective. There's been so much negativity since 2022's season end. The only caveat is I am trying to decide if I want to go to the ACE Spring Conference. I love Kings Dominion and BGW.

I'd move the entrance sign for Invertigo up to where the vending machines are and do something to narrow the path down a little.
Also paint Woodstock Express a nice shade of yellow to match it being themed to Woodstock and his little bird friends.
