  1. Here's some photos I got from the Tower when it was opened for the last few hours on Saturday.

  2. I like looking through that thread too. I remember originally the rumor was a ride like Skyhawk at Canada's Wonderland I believe. Then it became a giga for awhile (which looking back I couldn't believe I fell for that as there is no way a giga would've fit back there), then I remember when the blueprints first got leaked. Then the rumored name was SplinterCat and then I remember announcement night. I was at my (former) local county fair in Indiana at the time and I remember looking at my phone past 10 and seeing the name the first time and I was like "what?!" and it took me a couple days to process the name as I wasn't expecting a name like that.

  3. Thought I’d share on this thread: I had the opportunity to attend AP Previews to Epic Universe this Sunday and had one of the best days I’ve ever had at a theme park. While I won’t go in depth about my day, I wanted to connect both of my theme park hyperfixations. For everyone calling for the return of the Phantom Theater ride (Including myself as it’s basically the only thing I post about on here, then Monsters Unchained is probably the closest that any rides been to capturing what I love about that ride, alongside being one of the most technologically impressive dark rides I’ve ridden in my life. The park is 10/10, no notes expect that they need Icees with their drink plan and the other universal parks and theme parks as a whole need to be just as good.

  4. A few thoughts: splitting it could make a lot of sense if they got rid of TimberWolf. There's a ton of concrete that exists, so an aeronautic theme could be pulled off. The other side, as you mentioned, would be great as an Oktoberfest expansion, a haunted area, or a reintroduction of Adventure Village. That would tie in well with Adventure Port. Or, they could make the entire area Adventure Village again, similar to JungleX, with a multiple year phase in. Some are calling for this to be a DC Universe land as well.

  5. I think they were referring to an area themed around traditional flight, as opposed to the more "science fiction" theme with Area 72.

  6. The new festival structure site looks a lot more organized from above! I think it might be another couple of weeks until we see vertical construction, but once those poles go up it's just a matter of landscaping and putting the shades up. After that maybe we'll see the new tables move out of Tower Gardens. Did anyone manage to see if the Living Liberty Bell holder had been moved somewhere outside of the construction fence? I'd hate to see it be gone forever because it was in the way of a big tent. I hope it goes back up with the landscaping and gets its little sign back.

  7. Seeing that "falling trees" teaser gave me quite the nostalgic memory. I remember first coming to this website during the 2017 decoding thread (which spoilers alert, ended up being for Mystic Timbers)

  8. I thought KI made improvements last year in the culinary experience although there is always room for improvement. The park is fine with offering tenders at every location. Again it adds convenience for parents. Jeff Ruby offers chicken tenders on their menu, and that’s a high end restaurant: https://www.jeffruby.com/menu/cincinnati-kids-menu With that said, It hurts to see Chef Perez showcase a smoker with some mouthwatering looking brisket inside. Which takes hours to cook, only to be chopped up into cubes and covered with BBQ sauce (burnt ends). I’d wish they’d just pull it from the smoker, trim it and slice (no sauce). https://www.facebook.com/visitkingsisland/videos/kings-island-first-coney-bar-b-que-bites-of-2025/1773647226545755/

  9. I got the opportunity to a preview day to Universal's Epic Universe on Thursday, April 17th . . the new park and all 5 sections are great. But I would love to see a Mack like the Stardust Racers either in either Action Zone or The Vortex spot. It's an amazing ride and I easily put it up there to VelociCoaster as far as intensity but would say it has more airtime. You could almost flip a coin to which you think is better. Stardust Racers is a great ride and would immediately be a fan favorite at KI. Not sure if KI can budget a duel coaster, but it is a people eater with 2 trains going on both sides. Love it . . hope we can get Mack like this one since it seems we'll never get an Intamin.

  10. Two Cincinnati themed coasters in one park? That would be like putting two hyper coasters in one park! (just kidding! Orion is a giga coaster)

  13. *double post* Here’s what the Monster looks like currently, no signage informing guests that it’s currently SBNO. Had to even tell one of my friends that it’s just waiting for a part and not taken out.

  14. The shows are also a great benefit for the people who come to the park and can't ride the rides or roller coasters for one reason or another. Also, more shows means higher capacity/more people who aren't clogging up (respectfully) ride queues for around 30 minutes, improving the overall guest experience. Either way, I think I'd like to hear someone/a group perform a lot more than I'd like to listen to the playlists that repeat far too quickly or are way too short for what they need to be.
