  1. You know, even if you try and manipulate your health for what you think are prime black out factors, you still may not because everyone experiences G forces differently. There's no set way of trying to get one or not. Heck, even with me, I get deep grey outs or near black outs on Invertigo a lot, but there are also times where I don't. I thought I'd grey or black out during my rides on I305 but didn't. I will say I do consistently grey out on Millennium Force between the bottom of the first drop until the first camelback hill. In addition, it the amount of G's on an element isn't the only factor in black outs. How long they sustain is another key factor and with Pantherian's speed, you're blazing through that course. The only turn that really has a chance at grey/black out is the one at the bottom of the first drop, which, keep in mind, was redesigned after its first season along with trims on the first drop because of the amount of people experiencing black outs being reported. I also feel if you're relying on a black out to enjoy a coaster, you might be enjoying them kinda wrong....

  3. Congratulations! I did a little snooping around on Kings Island's website and found the following in their Guest Accessibility Guide (pregnancy section is at the top of page 10). It wasn't terribly easy to find, but I hope it helps. I've included the second paragraph listing the rides as a quote below. Best of luck to you, your wife, and your new little one!!! 4. Hello, I have a trip planned this year for Kings Dominion with my family to get my #1 bucket list ride done: I305 (Now Pantherian) I have read TONS of reports of people blacking out and greying out due to its sheer intensity. Me, being a sucker for ultra-intense rides (as long as its not Crypt during 08, that was TOO much), wants to know: What is the BEST way to actively black out? How do I make myself black out as much as possible? I want that full intensity and this is going to be my only chance. What can I do to proactively increase my chances of blacking out on that first turn? The more intense the better!!

  5. I also grey out occasionally right before the turnaround after the first drop...and for some weird reason I used to grey out during the helix on Orion. But, I've gotten over the grey out after riding it so many times. Doesn't happen much anymore. But I don't judge a ride on how much it makes me grey out, but by how much fun I had and the smile I wear after riding it!

  6. There are many bars to choose from at KD if you’re looking to blackout. I would avoid the premade mixed drinks, those tend to be light on the booze.

  7. The more i think about it, i think Timber Hallow is for a themed area probably the area where the water ride at Carowinds is going.

  8. Decided to go up to the park after work, Spent from 4 to close there and got a surprising amount done in that time. There were really light crowds from what I expected, managed to ride all the major coasters and included Delirium, Drop Tower, WindSeeker and Viking as well. I got my first 1-1 night ride with the new track on Beast, and I have to say, those newly reprofiled bits have really good floater air in 1-1. I was nearly up against the lap bar on the 2nd drop. I can't wait to see how it rides once its more worn in. Also really want to try to ride in the back in the future with that section.

  9. Some above fence pics Also saw them working on the Crypt building. I'm not sure there was anything to it but found it interesting.

  10. Backbeat BBQ is better than anything Coney BBQ tries to be. Brisket is amazing. Chicken fall off the bone juicy. Potato wedges seasoned right. Big rectangular plates with theme appropriate wax paper. This park in general is putting our food to shame. Clearly KI has realized they don’t even need to try with the 1000s of dining plan people “popping in for dinner”

  11. I've so far found it fascinating just how little of the Legacy Six Flags has popped up in the new Six Flags! All of the Legacy Cedar Fair's touches have been very noticeable from drink stands to refreshed restaurants to new ride operations procedures to ride repainting/refreshing. I think the most Six Flags I've seen in parks like KI and Carowinds are the new sponsors on each TV, the new copyrighted company name on most new things, and the new festivals at some of the parks. It seems that Great Adventure has been the guinea pig for rolling out the overall company transition this year. They have received a new logo, seen only at the front of the park; a new Sweet Spot, complete with the standard logo and everything; the new LCF/SF map style, the only LSF park to do so; and all of the touches mentioned above.

  12. I'll stay hydrated, I just want the thing to be as ultra-intense as possible. I'll probably try to lap it 15-20 times to increase my chances of a full blackout. It can't be as bad as 08' Crypt.

  13. Having been a part of a similarly minded group during an ERT event, here's what we found: The back right side tends to exaggerate lateral and positive G-forces on that initial turn. Don’t brace or tense—just let your body go with the motion. Eat light beforehand, going in with an empty-ish stomach will heighten your body's adrenaline response, but PLEASE stay hydrated. Tilt your head slightly down during the turn. As intense as the ride is, even the most knee-locking thrill seekers in our group were only able to stay grayed out until the top of the subsequent hill.
