  1. That would depend on if there is anyone left in Six Flags higher ups that cares to cater to adults and thrillseekers anymore! Kings Island is going to be deemed 100% a family park while Cedar Point will be the major thrill park. (this is a joke) I think the park could probably squeeze a swim up bar/adult pool over near the entrance to Splash River. That pathway leads to nothing except Splash River and Zoom Flume, and it isn't under the power lines. It also gets it out of the way from the rest of the waterpark.

  3. He used to be located in the Spanish building where Sweet Spot is. His old spot is now Sweet Spot's "Slam Bam" register. He moved across the street to the German building outside of Emporium.

  5. I was walking to Grain and Grill from the Trading Company at the front of the park. This mother was taking a photo of her child. This child was about 4 or 5 and was standing on the bricks that are in front of the fountains. She asks him to dance for the camera. He turned around and started twerking. I looked at my wife and we cracked up.

  6. Haven't ridden it yet but I would like to applaud the idea after thinking about it. They could have put in a ride twice as long with 2 uphill pieces but that would have cut the ride wait time 75%. On water slides you have to wait until the people ahead are out of the pool. By haveing a shorter ride with two tubes at once they can put more people through per hour. In my opinion KI doesn't need what other parks do to get people through the gates. As has been said several times the waterpark is usually very crowded and that was without a water coaster. By putting in a smaller ride and redoing a kids area and expanded shade/seating (and the upgrade of the boathouse drink stand) I think after seeing it this was a very well-thought out addition.

  8. I could see something like this coming to KI/SC eventually. But I could also see them maybe trying something like Zumbezi Bay doing a 21+ event at night depending on how this merger sees fit in broadening their audiences.

  9. I think the Skyline Pavilion would be a lot better if they cleaned/painted it and replaced the lights/fans/tables with newer versions. It always seems a bit disjointed/dirty, so that would almost definitely help. A few TVs would also make it more like the covered Jukebox Diner patio. Maybe the park can put in a small food stand across the path from it, blocking the view of QCSC but giving it some more purpose. The Saltwater Circus lawn would be an awesome spot to put a new flat ride. I'm choosing to believe that is why the spot next to the Grand Carousel was chosen, in addition to being effectively right next to Tower Gardens. Kings Island still has a lot to do when it comes to improving their summer festivals. I do hope the park puts one of their little stages under the tent and has some small live entertainment there.

  10. I'm the first to step foot in the new dining area. Are you happy with this change?

  11. There won’t be a next communications director at Kings Island any time soon. The position was eliminated last year at the park level. For those attending Coasterstock, be sure to tag the park in your posts and use #Coasterstock so they continue to see the value and want to bring it back next year.
