Is the corn soufflé still at Cooney BBQ as a side?
Yes! I just wish they would have it all year since they do have it at Island Smokehouse; but, I guess it does make it extra special this way at Coney

Speaking of the cookie decorating, has anyone done it this year? How are the cookies? Last year they were garbage. I'm hoping they went back to the cookies from 2 years ago, but at that price point, I'm not hopeful.

I’ve been 3 for 3 the past couple of weeks. ICEE stand in I-Street, French Corner, and the bar in the Festhaus on the Larosa’s side. Hot chocolate was also available at the Coke Marketplace in Adventure Port, but I didn’t get one that time. When I scanned my pass, the associate actually asked, “Soda or hot chocolate?”
Hoping everything will be resolved soon with issues, sounds like a lot of the ICEE growing pains from the first few weeks of the season.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I'd like to aknowledge the huge improvement to Cornstalkers this season. It's practically a new maze and I absolutely love the upgrade. Last weekend my grandson and I noticed a small burlap "sock puppet" with eyes and a mouth on the hand of a scareacter in a corn stalk suit. It was simply funny that people would look at the puppet and the actor would pop at them. I felt compelled to tell the yellow shirt I saw at the entrance that I appreciated the extra effort that brought a smile to our faces. Well played.
We saw the sock puppet Friday night as well. Totally agree with you about the maze this year. I think it is our #2 behind Hotel St. Michelle.

Any guesses to wait times for this evening? I know Saturday's in the fall are typically slammed. I went on the first Friday of fest this season as well as a few other Fridays in the past, but I've never been on a Friday this late into the fall season. Do the Friday night crowds grow a bunch as you get closer to Halloween or will Friday night football still keep crowds down? The lines for Haunts were a little long, but nothing unreasonable, lines for coasters were really quick when we were there a few Fridays ago.
I am guessing with the nice weather, it will probably be slammed. Try to get there at opening if you can. We can typically knock out the 5 indoor haunts in the first hour or so with little to no wait.

Even with FL, you won't catch me at any park on a Saturday night during Haunt. Just the park being mega crowded itself does not sound like a good time to me.
We typically never go on Saturday nights. The only reason we did was our oldest son works full time and doesn't have a pass. He visits a few times with our Prestige Pass Bring a Friend. Saturday was his only option to visit Haunt. We did buy Fright Lane (our first time with that).
I will say it was interesting actually seeing that level of crowds at Kings Island in person. Absolutely bonkers.

Speaking to the lack of drink stands, we were at the park Saturday night, probably one of the busiest days/nights of the year. Walking through Rivertown (wall to wall people) and, to no surprise, both the Freestyle and the drink stand by LaRosa's were closed. Oh, but the bar right next to the Freestyle was open...
On a plus side, we did snag some hot chocolate Friday night with our Drink Plan+.

Beast FL line is currently back to the Photo Booth.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

The Shrimp Sandwich was one of my favorite dining options this summer. It's amazing how good the food really is at Kings Island, and how few people talk about it.
I am hoping since they remodeled and added the bar that they will be open more often moving forward. There were countless times we went over the summer that they weren’t open.

The Mounds of Meatwich looks good!
I think I liked it as much as the Shrimp Sandwich from The French Corner, and that says something. That Shrimp Sandwich has been my #1 food item of the season. I would like to see them keep the Meatwich around at the French Corner, maybe as a French Dip.

They let passholders in at 10:30. The other day, Mondo Monsoon was running at 10:30, but YMMV.

Did anyone try the Turkey Dinner Ball from Grain & Grill last weekend?
