  1. A lot of people have downplayed it IMHO. I'm just excited to have a new coaster and I'm sure many people here agree. Not every addition needs to be extreme or break records. What it does need to do is be a great overall fit for the park and this attraction does that perfectly,

Agree as well!  I feel that this coaster will be an amazing night ride!!!

  2. So, how do Saturday's work with Haunt?  I know that little kid Halloween activities are during the day.  Is the rest of the park open then as well?  Do all of the "creatures" start filing into the park at 6?  We have only been to Haunt on Fridays, and have to go on Saturday this year.  Curious how it works....  Thanks!!

This year renewals get one free FL in the fall and a free bring a friend ticket; both usable on Sundays this fall. I haven't seen anything about a preview night, though.

We are using ours this Sunday. Never used FL before so I'm super excited!

The verbage says they are valid in the fall.

Wouldn't that be post labor day?

Do they have valid dates on them?

Here is what the tickets say when you renew:

2017 SEASON PASS RENEWAL - Fast Lane PLUS
    PRICE:$0.00

    INSTRUCTIONS

Present voucher & renewed season pass at the Fast Lane booth, located inside the gate entrance on International Street. Voucher will be exchanged for 2016 Fast Lane Plus wristband-1 voucher per wristband. Valid 2016 Sundays only.

  5. I was told I wouldn't need a new photo if I renewed online.

I saw that the voucher said that our gold pass was active for the new season.  I also picked take photo at season pass office when we were upgrading.  If we don't have to though, even better!  SUPER EXCITED to use the Fast Lane Plus bands next weekend!!!!!!!!

So we got to the park about 2:30 today and the goal was for the boys to finish up all coasters they haven't been on yet. Invertigo, Racer, AE, Firehawk (they both declared it their new favorite coaster), FOF.

Then it was time for Vortex. I warned them about it but they both wanted to give it a try. My 11yr old came off looking bad. "Never again, Dad". My oldest didn't have a problem becuase he leaned his head forward. We sat down and the medics showed up for a woman who was dizzy from it and they took her to FA. I asked them where I could buy some Vitamn-I and they just handed me a packet. Thanks KI!

After a bit we decided to head down to the train for a chill out, (I posted some picks of the new retaining wall in Decoding) but he still was not feeling great so we headed home and stopped for a McFlurry. He was fine after that. :)

So Vortex has claimed another victim. :)

Vortex is the only coaster that I used to grey out on. This is not uncommon, but I guess the G's from all the inversions do it. I used to ride that 6-7 times back to back. Takes a toll for sure. This was a long time ago, so I don't know if it's rougher now days or not.

I honestly find The Vortex to be one of the roughest rides in the park.  I would ride The Beast 10 times in a row over The Vortex.

  7. Line for The Beast is full through the first set of switchbacks. Was a 5 min wait when I rode it earlier. BLSC is about 5 min right now.

We waited in that line at about 10:45.  When we got off the ride it was about 11:15.  Walking out the line was MUCH shorter.  About half way up the ramp.  Seems to be the trend for the night rides.  The first 30 or 45 minutes is busy, then it slows way down.  Much less busier than the night rides in June though.

  8. My wife and I started developing motion sickness a few years ago.  We found Sea Bands:

When we took our boys to Disney, we wore these all 8 days and had no problems.

Now, we did find out that we can't do spinning looping rides one after another.  We went from Firehawk to Flight of Fear a couple of weeks ago and had some trouble.  But, after figuring out what we can/can't do right after each other, we are good to go!

    Hope this helps!!
