  1. I don't think the GP would care that much. I don't think I have heard much or any about there being 3 suspended coasters right by each other (Banshee, Invertigo, and The Bat). I think a Mack launch would serve as a good in between launch coaster between BLSC and FOF. It'd be more intimidating that BLSC, but a little less powerful launch than FOF. However, would probably be better than FOF for the GP at least. It would likely have a height requirement of 52" like Copperhead so it would be in between BLSC and FOF in height requirements. It would also be one of those things where when a kid hits 52", they can get introduced to inversions with Banshee and this Mack launch since we no longer have a coaster with inversions with a 48" height requirement.
  2. The idea for the entrance is it would be inside the current arcade building. They would keep some of the arcade games in there, but have space in there for overflow queue. They would also have a green screen photo similar to Orion's entrance in there. The main queue would be a long enclosed tunnel (the brown tunnel that goes underneath the jojo roll and snakes up to the station). Basically the feel of the queue would be an old abandoned hidden mineshaft.
  3. Another idea I made. This time it goes out into the woods like The Beast. Action Theater gets demolished for the turnaround:
  4. If they do that, I think they would give it a car theme. I would honestly prefer a Rivertown/country theme, but I wouldn't mind it being in Coney Mall themed to a fast car.
  5. I know this may just look a little messy, but I did a little sketch on what a Maverick like coaster could look like in The Vortex plot if it started in Rivertown. Picture is taken from the park's cinematic video from the Eiffel Tower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2gyKbhMufE Heres the sketch:
  6. Here's another idea, turn the building into a mine shaft like building like Mystery Mine's building pictured below, but make it either a dark ride OR an interactive attraction. Think Forbidden Frontier at Cedar Point, but indoors and themed around a mine. One of the activities they could have in there is one of those mining things where you take a box and a bag of rocks and put it into a thing of running water and it comes out as minerals. I know Carowinds added this when they debuted Blue Ridge Junction/Copperhead in 2019.
  7. I have an idea for the queue line: Have it start in the Arcade building (keep some of the games in there and have that space available for overflow) and have the entrance be in there and have it be all enclosed and it starts where you go down stairs into the current valley and it is enclosed all the way to the station. Basically the queue line would be like being inside an abandoned mine shaft. They could have some mining equiptment and other mining/country props as theming as well as an IMASCORE soundtrack in the mine (maybe pull a Helix and have a soundtrack for the queue itself and another one for the station). Knowing CF they would probably put FunTV's in it sadly though. Just an idea. I honestly think they would have an overflow available in the Arcade and for opening weekend and first few weeks they would do access passes for it (I think access passes are going to be the future of new coaster openings so that they don't have to manage a 4 hour line and can get revenue that they would miss out on.)
  8. I think they should tear it down and use that space for something new. A lot of people talk about putting in a new log ride as a replacement for the former log ride that operated there. Idk who makes log flumes now especially since parks are pretty much removing log flumes and water rides in the dry park. However, the main thing I want them to do is open the extended pathway on the right side of Beast's station where the exit used to be that's now being used as a backstage area. I found this picture of that area and it looks like you could go inside the red building. Idk if that was a gift shop or what it was if anyone remembers, please let me know. 9. Temperature checks imo could be one of the things that could stick around for a while post pandemic just like the security screenings post 9/11. While it may not be the most effective at handling diseases, it could catch a potentially ill person if they have a fever. I would also expect cleaning the trains to stick around (not every 30 minutes, but maybe every few hours or every turn of shift like in the morning before opening, when the close shifts come in, and at night after close). I would also expect Soak City to open since other waterparks have opened and did just fine. I also think we should see seasonal events like Grand Carnivale, Summer Nights, Movie nights in Soak City, Haunt, and Winterfest return in some way since Tricks/Treats Fall Fest and Taste of the season (at other parks) proved we can hold special events during the pandemic with protocols in mind. Maybe we won't see the Grand Carnivale Parade or if we do, they'll have markers down for social distancing and could extend the parade route. Based on what the KI website says, they are still planning to hold special events, the exact lineup TBA: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/play/events?page=1 Measures such as masks, social distancing, and reduced capacity I expect to be loosened by the 2022 season in time for a very special 50th anniversary season. It would be nice if we can have a normal season in 2022 so that the park can hold a massive celebration. I feel bad for CP and Knott's who can't celebrate their anniversaries that big due to the pandemic.
  10. ..Introducing Kings Mills Striker! This coaster will feature a beyond vertical drop, multiple inversions, and multiple airtime moments through the woods and hills of the Kings Canyon Mining Company.
  11. For an infinity, I actually discovered this concept on YouTube. I love the theme and would work well in Rivertown.
  12. So was Vortex and Firehawk. Both were removed because they started to cost too much to maintain and they reached the end of their service life. Plus Arrow is a defunct company so it's not as easy to find parts. However, it would be tough to lose both rides.
  13. Just speculation. I personally enjoy Bat and would hate to see it go. However, when studying the topography of that plot of land, an RMC would be the best option here if they do decide to remove it. Plus, with the recent closure of Vortex, it has started speculation on if/when our other two arrow coasters would be removed (Bat and the 11th commandment...also known as Adventure Express).
  14. DOUBLE POST: Here is the part after the first drop:
  15. Made another concept in The Bat area. This time using Google Earth pro and pixlr.
  16. Came up with this ground up RMC hybrid concept to replace The Bat. The name is Steel Beast
  17. Currently working for my local Kroger. I also spend time watching coaster youtube videos and college basketball.
  18. I doubt we are anywhere close to seeing any sort of blueprints for a future coaster. I don't think Kings Island has anything in the planning stages yet with COVID. I think they're going to want to get a normal season or 2 down first before they start planning anything major. So I don't think we'll find any blueprints anytime soon.
  19. Did they affect the park in any way back then?
  20. I remember the swarm of cicadas that hit where I lived in Maineville, OH (not too far from the park) in 2008 I believe. I can still recall playing outside and I remember hearing them. I don't think it'll affect the park, but I think you'll hear them and see them in wooded areas like on The Beast and walking to/from/riding The Bat.
  21. I'm tired of people complaining about being required to wear masks at the park. They aren't a violation of your constitutional rights. Yes, it is your choice not to wear it, but it is also their right to deny you entry. We are currently in a pandemic and requiring masks is what the park is required to do to be able to open and STAY open. They won't be required forever. Eventually once around 70-80% of the population hopefully gets vaccinated and we reach herd immunity, they'll be allowed to lift the restrictions and return to a "new normal" (there will likely be things that stick just like security measures after 9/11)
  22. For new attraction, there is more than just new coasters. I expect to see more family rides, flat rides, and/or interactive attractions/events in the next few years. I think once most of the covid procedures are lifted, something along the lines of Forbidden Frontier at CP would be an excellent addition.
