How do we know they are doing the theming for Orion? Were they on the Notice of Commencement?

I say if the park can't open in July, that is when it will make sense to just cancel the 2020 season and make everyone's season passes available for 2021.

There is actually evidence against that theory about warm weather and the virus. Florida and Hawaii have a lot of cases of the virus and there are cases in the southern hemisphere (like Australia) that have a lot of cases.

That's likely because they don't have anything before that set in stone yet. I'll wait until they come out with an announcement.

There are still people saying that.

Part of it is that more and more testing is available. That is part of why there are much more cases everyday and why we are the new epicenter of the virus. Yes, spreading is also a part of it. People are predicting we are still a few weeks out from the peak. Also, someone in Ohio (I don't know if it was Dewine or not) predicted that we might see 8,000 cases a day by peak time. Anyways, No I don't think our season is gone or will be. However, it will very likely be shorter than normal.

I think KI could see a rise in employees assuming they open in mid May-June since there is a high unemployment number. Hopefully KI doesn't have to layoff any workers. Especially since I will be working there.

I sorta agree and disagree with the whole "open up the economy by Easter thing." I agree that people need to be able to make money and have a house to live in. However, I think that we need to have social distancing go on for a little longer so we can help flatten the curve. I saw this article that basically compares the effects on reopening the economy after 14 days to keeping the social distancing measures for 2 months and it shows that if we keep the measures in place longer, it can really help flatten the curve. Vaccine won't likely be available for 12-18 months. It won't magically go away. I say parks will open when it gets under control, but it'll be an opening process. Not just reopening.

When looking at a drone video of Orion, I can see that there seems to be a wall on the stairs that separates the Fast Lane and regular line. I don't know if they are going to build a tunnel on the stairs or what. But I find that interesting.

I like that tunnel Cedar Point has that goes under Millennium Force that sorta separates the main midway from Frontier Trail. When I went in August 2018, it rained for a good chunk of the day and we hid down there for a little bit.

That's definitely not completely off the table. However, I think the park is going to do whatever they can to open as soon as they can. Whether that will be the planned reopening in late May or later is to be seen.

That's likely because nothing is official yet, so they are trying to play it safe. They haven't come out with an announcement. That's probably a date they are looking at in the event they can't open in mid May.

You know what would be a great improvement to Viking Fury? Bringing back the "Tastes Great, Less Filling" chants. My Mom told me she used to do that as a teenager on Viking Fury.

I definitely think we will see more ride removals as a result of this not just here, but chainwide. I also am starting to think that we might have a larger gap between Orion and the next coaster. Ik I wouldn't like this, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see another coaster built at KI until 2025-2028.

I believe the 50th will just be a celebration year with some park improvements.
