So forgive me if this has already been discussed, but how will Fast Lane work this year?  My wife and I have All-Season Fast Lane, and I see that they're not selling them on the site.  Will they even be honoring Fast Lane this season?

According to Chad Showalter they will be honored.

So this ride is gonna be about the end of the arth because another planet hits us right????

The ride theme is that meteors are hitting the earth and we need to go to a new planet in the future. Scientists have created a simulator “Orion” that’ll be used to conduct tests on what’d it be like to travel to a new planet. I think that’s the story but I could be wrong

    Shivering Timbers?

That was built before the park was purchased by Cedar Fair. Ghost Rider while finished under CedarFair management was already designed and under construction before their purchase, similar to The Bat.

Plus the GG team consists of many workers from the old CCI company.

It is also interesting to note that CCI was favored heavily by Six Flags, CF, and independent parks. Paramount did not buy a single CCI coaster.

I mean the Paramount Parks already had a pretty large wooden coaster collection and they seemed to focus on somewhat unique or innovative rides. Also I don’t think Cedar Fair built a single CCI rollercoaster.

I emailed Kings Island and they said they aren't using paper maps this year.

That’s interesting considering the fact we’ve already seen printed maps.

  6. As per the whole mask debate yesterday, if they aren’t going to require masks then I probably won’t go to the park. It’s a simple but effective safety measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19, I’d be disappointed if they didn’t require masks.

  7. ^ I wouldn’t necessarily say the park doesn’t care about the atmosphere, just look at all the work they’ve done in the past few years improving areas around the park. They seem to be caring more and more about the little things (glockenspiel, having areas have a cohesive theme) I think as each season goes on the park returns more to its original vision of being a well rounded theme park.

With reduced capacity in the parks and more frequent sanitation, will fastlane be available and it so, will it even be worth it (as those in the FastLane line will still be subject to delays)?

I’d venture to say yes, Fastlane is a huge money maker for the parks and I’m guessing with limited capacity the profit margin will be very slim so they’d like want a way to maximize guest in park spending.

I imagine throughput would have been miserable compared to all of the other coasters.

400 riders per hour, I think the worst part of that ride is probably walking up all those stairs.

Dorms are filled with people under 30 who are not dying. Relevant? I think so. I think so A LOT!

1st of all people people under 30 can still get very sick from this virus but more importantly those people in the dorms would then spread it to others which will eventually lead to older or more at risk people get infected with the virus

I have a question for anyone who has operated Vortex (maybe @VortexBFForever can answer): Was the mid-course brake run capable of stopping a train? If so, could the train make it to the brake run from there?

The point of a mid course is to stop a train from that position and they’re designed at an elevation that allows them to still be able to complete the course.
