I wonder when he’s going to impose similar measures to what San Francisco has imposed.

I feel like Cedar Fair will provide some sort of compensation for the delayed season, wether it be discounted season passes ect. If they don’t then I personally probably won’t buy a season pass again, at least for the near future.

None of us can accurately predict the future. But I would say that when the park opens, we should support it by spending money there (loosen up the purse strings and don't let this be a "my pass(es) get me in and I'm not spending a dime extra!" season)).
If the Orion merchandise looks good then they’ll be getting my money.

Incase you guys weren’t aware a judge struck down Mike DeWines attempt to postpone tomorrow’s election. I believe the election is still going to occur tomorrow.

How are they going to food?
You are allowed to go to grocery stores and other essential places (Hospital, gas station ect)

50 cases now in Ohio.

A national lockdown or quarantine will probably end up happening at some point in my opinion, we’ve seen other western nations such as Spain and Italy impose such measures.

Just in case you guys weren't aware OH Governor Mike DeWine typically holds a Corona virus press conference at 2pm every day incase you wanted to hear the daily updates from him and several members of his team.

Yeah I'm hoping we get something by at least the summer, but with the possibility of schools being closed till 2021 I'm preparing for no Orion rides. Of course I understand it's a day-to-day situation.
Schools closed till 2021? What? I think you misunderstood what they meant, they meant school year. Not calendar year.

Macks have to be manufactured overseas so if you want something 6 inversions or more, be ready to pay a TON of money
Good thing Cedar Fair typically spends a TON of money on new coasters.

Double post.
I still think we still might get a B&M. The only other manufacturers I can really see are RMC and maybe S&S
Mack? They’re the most likely manufacturer imo.

Ohio Governor has said he is considering shutting down Ohio bars and restaurants in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19....
Sounds like a good way to slow the spread, hopefully there is a program to help those hourly workers.

I do not understand this. How does closing the beaches at 5PM help? Are the beaches more crowded at night during spring break?
Better then nothing I guess. Probably also to help the economy, probably a lot of bars and such that rely on the beach foot traffic. If they closed the beach entirely then it’d hurt those businesses.

I thought the mods said no politics here on the forums? I have been the complete opposite with Dewine. He is the reason why everything in this state is shut down, the reason why everybody is panicking and the reason why the stores are out of everything. The man needs to be fired.
Every store in the country is experiencing shortages, not just Ohio. These closures were inevitable, his actions undoubtedly will at least limit the spread of Covid-19 to some degree.

These viruses hate warm weather..we are into the warm season, so within the next 3-4 weeks this will be a thing of the past....

They really don’t disappear or go extinct, they like to mutate.
The Covid-19 will likely be around for the rest of our lives similar to how the flu is, hopefully it is just season when a vaccine eventually comes out.

Does influenza just “disappear” “like a miracle”?
Yes, after it killed millions.

I think we’re all over reacting a little bit, yes, the virus is a concern and is bad we should all listen to the WHO and CDC but what is going on now is temporary I don’t believe it’s realistic that this lasts months. Kings Island has shown no sign of a delayed opening other Cedar Fair parks? Yes, however if KI does open late I don’t think it will be by much.
We haven’t even come close to reaching the peak of the virus nor are we testing nearly enough people. This is almost certainly going to be a probably for the next 2-3 months.

51% on what?
The world health organization said that the virus likely will still be around during summer.... it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the parks don’t open for a few months.

At least they know when they will open up the park from postponing. Some of them I mean.
Their date is likely going to get keeping pushed backed.

TBH now I'm actually expecting a delayed opening. My main question is will they still do a media day/first rider event for Orion? Likely around the time of the new opening?
They’ll probably just move it to another date or have an ert event for those donors at sometime.
