  1. ^ Look how vibrant the paint once was, they should really consider repainting in the near future.

Any ways very exciting to see the lift hill almost completed. Can’t wait to see how quickly progress moves after the lift is done.

We also knew how much Banshee costed, we know Cedar Fair has stopped dropping the price tags so things change inside chains.

They’ve still released how much things cost, Look at Fury & Orion.

I honestly don't feel anyone should be able to vote in these kinda things without proving somehow that they went to all of them on the list. Also because of that I think voting should be in Jan and not before said event even starts. But what the heck do I know.

I believe they do this because people planning the trips will already have the results while the event is going on so they can visit it this year.

Can anyone DM me the link to the video? I'd like to see it!

Just search Kings Island drone video then sort by new on YouTube. It also has recently been posted on r/Rollercoasters recently. The video appears to have been legally captured.

^Physically, Rougarou is Mantis.  They didn't get rid of a coaster for that.

I mean technically they kind of did unless you don’t consider it a new credit unless you don’t count it as a new credit. Still doesn’t change my point that Cedar Point has in recent history removed coasters to make way for new additions.

Yet Cedar Point unnecessarily adds more coasters every 2 to three years without removing attractions when they are already landlocked

Ehhh not necessarily, GateKeeper, Rougarou & SteVe all saw the removal of a coaster. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see another one of their coasters be removed soon.

It could be quite doable. Maybe an underground tunnel to lot?

Maybe CF could dip into casino business, as that market has become very profitable.

I wouldn’t want my brand (which is associated with family entertainment) associated with gambling. An industry that relies on addiction and numerous other things…

  8. I personally believe Iron dragon will eventually close to support the other 2 Arrow suspend coasters in the chain. Canada’s wonderland maintenance team sounds very committed to supporting Vortex and I can only hope KI’s feels the same way.

What if we got a second GCI? More like that GCI concept we saw at iappa last year, but not dueling, but has the new trains and inversions and that lift structure.

I wouldn’t want this. Kings Island already have a  good if not great wooden coaster lineup. While yes it’d have inversions it’d still feel very similar to Mystic Timbers.

Probably the best investment Paramount made to the park IMO. There are lots of very interesting stories from the development/construction of the coaster. It’s still a very enjoyable and very well-themed ride.

I definitely agree. This was really one of the few rides where every aspect came together well. It was a one of a kind ride (with the new launch technology), the theming was & still is in the park. The only real issue with it was it’s poor restraints upon its debut.

  11. Man just seeing all the new photos all I’ve got to say is wow! This looks absolutely fantastic. As many have mentioned the drop is noticeably steeper then some of the other giga coasters. I couldn’t be more excited for next spring.

State Farm didnt want any video of workers, falling, dropping anything. They takin zero chance

    cause

Then why would they install the camera in the first place? The risk of injury doesn’t stop once they’re done with the lift hill.

  13. I’m genuinely curious why some believe the park would want the webcams down. I simply think that they have a legitimate reason to alter the cameras (such as a software update) however it certainly shouldn’t have taken this long.

I spoke to Don yesterday at the park. He said that Vortex will start coming down this winter, if not sooner.

Dang really wished it’d stand SBNO, that area of the park already looks very meh with backlot, Vortex’s removal isn’t going to help. Did he comment about the stations fate?

(Edit- Anyone have any idea if they’ll spare all the trees around the hill turn thingy before the loops)
