I’m really sorry for you @CoastersRZ and any other fans of Coney Island. I’ve personally never been to the park but I understand very well how emotionally connected people get to parks, a lot of people’s happiest memories happen at theme parks. At least you have all the great memories.

I would be interested as well. I have not been to Dollywood yet, but I have heard fantastic things about Wildwood Grove and the park in general. Interesting to note too that Dollywood pulled ahead of Cedar Point in the "Best Amusement Park" category.
Rightfully so in my honest opinion. Cedar Point is really only great at one thing and that’s the rides, other things like food, live entertainment & general park atmosphere fall really short imo for being a flagship park.

Any photos you have would be very cool to see @SixCoasterers, thanks for the insight you’ve provided.

The front car looks so cool with how detailed it is.

If you buy the platinum pass dining plan then yes you could use it when you visit Cedar Point or any other Cedar Fair Park.

Yeah that storage tent is really really high compared to racers station, I don’t know if they can do much about making it not looking like an eyesore

^ I agree I think we will see a Dive or Floorless before we see a Wing. As far as the next Wing in the chain, I could see KD getting one because they need a reliable people eater, something to replace Volcano, and it would be something different than what BGW has.
Has Twisted timbers even done well for KD? I’ve heard it didn’t do much. Yes they need to replace Volcano but I don’t see them doing it any time soon to be quite honest.
Id like a Launched Wing coaster over a Dive coaster, but I’d gladly see either of them come to Kings Island. I don’t really want to see a Floorless coaster come to Kings Island, I’d rather see the previously mentioned B&Ms or a Mack multilaunch come instead.

Really cool photos! Thanks for sharing.

What an off year for coasters next year. Only 3 major installs that I am aware of.
I’d disagree, you have Orion, Jersey Devil, Rmc gwazi, Pantheon, a dive coaster, a large GCI. Seems like a pretty good year.

I have a hard time watching these announcements, the cringe is almost unbearable.

You know Jersey Devil looks to have 12 riders per train which is pretty large for an RMC Raptor. I was thinking, what if we get an RMC Raptor, but larger so that we can aim for like 13-16 riders.
The train would be way too long at that point, sadly defeating the purpose of building an RMC due to to how drawn out the elements would be.

The one park that seemed to be getting the best addition gets leaked, kind of unfortunate

I would assume quite a bit, considering they wont run it without water in the splashdown. Which is probably another reason Diamondback doesnt run in the winter.
I know during the initial testing they ran it without the water, the train seemed to whip into the final break run, definitely does slow down those trains. The end of the video shows how fast it goes into the break run.

Looks amazing! Definitely a nice looking piece of memorabilia.

I absolutely loved Busch gardens Tampa when I visited, one of my all time favorite parks. I noticed you didn’t list Hershey Park but if you’re able to go I’d highly recommend it, the food and the coaster collection at that park is fantastic.

Besides, there is already a far more problematic coaster that seems likelier to be replaced within the next 5-10 years, and ironically, it is much younger than Racer and Vortex.
I assume you’re talking about Invertigo?

Diamondback’s animation showed the supports all one color but when they built it a lot of the supports are actually light grey. Credit for the pic goes to Collin.
Actually the animation did indeed show the color change for the supports. (Sorry for the poor photo quality, the YouTube promo shows it more clearly)

The supports are all going to be the same color, I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be. If it wasn’t the animation likely would have showed there being different colors.

Diamondback has been stuck at the bottom of the lift for the last 30 minutes or so. They are getting everyone off and they closed the ride.
Diamondback has been temperamental this season, guess it didn’t take the news that it’s no longer the tallest or fastest ride in the park well...

I think the idea is that specific threads (in theory) would be easier to navigate than one all inclusive thread. Judging by how numerous people kept complaining about the cluttered nature of Decoding thread, I can't imagine it would be any different for a unified Orion thread.
There’s less people on the site now that the ride has been announced so I assume it wouldn’t be as much of a mess as the Decoding thread was.

There was this one (a Huss Breakdance 4) that they bought that never did find a home. All of the rest to my knowledge are spoken for. CF never did announce if they found anything when they went on the scavenger hunt across Japan though.
Please, please, PLEASE! Put these in Oktoberfest.

Carowinds
in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News

I really hope it’s a GCI, Carowinds lineup completely falls apart after their top 4, adding another high thrill coaster (Like an RMC) wouldn’t do much to balance their collection out. Their last family coaster was a meh wild mouse from 2002.
