IndyGuy4KI's personal thoughts. I think they did not want to go higher because they do not want to go above the Eiffel Tower. I could be wrong, but I think that drives it more than not beating CP.
I can see that but if it was 305 ft it still wouldn’t have been taller then the tower, It’s certainly a very interesting topic to think about. I just think it all comes down to the budget of the ride.

I hereby sentence you to a 50 cycle Vortex marathon.

That sounds very fun! I think I did a little over 40 rides this Tuesday on Vortex.

There is no hidden meaning here, and does not mean Racer will be going backwards next year. Just a little throwback in the rendering.
Did the park state that? (Not trying to sound rude)

I mean most people at this point really don’t care about the height as much (It’ll still be somewhat disappointing it’s not 300 ft’ tall) I think most people’s main concern with this ride is how short it is. Yes you won’t notice it’s 25 ft smaller then Fury but what you will notice is how it’s 1,200 ft shorter then Fury 325.

I think some of the red is look country safari, but as you said it also goes into the blue area you circled. Kings dominion does own the area in red.

It was up and running yesterday... I did find it kind of comical that the ride op who was "scanning" appeared very mechanical and deliberate in her motions, like she really wasnt checking just running through the motions
Yeah the whole Scanning thing half the time just looks like over exaggerate looking around, most parks just scan silently before they say clear.

This is what it was like in line for Banshee on opening day. The Fast Lane line was apparently being treated as a "walk right on" line and allegedly, some riders were using it to nab more than one of the "first rider" tees that were being handed out.
I wouldn’t mind people in Fast Lane riding over and over but to get multiple T-Shirts is really aggravating. Maybe they should mark the Fast Lane pass with a marking if they’ve already gotten a t shirt.

Does anybody know what the unpainted track at CSF is??? its too small to be sea worlds dive coaster track.
Seaworld’s Dive coaster track is actually going to be smaller then Valravn & Yukon striker due to the small trains, the unpainted track may indeed be Dive track.

Anyone think they will include the new coaster in Fas Lane Plus? Personally I'm hoping at least first season they hold off for it. What happened when Banshee and MT released? Were they FLP at opening?
Yes the ride will most likely have Fast Lane plus, every new Cedar Fair rollercoaster has had Fast Lane offered the first season.

I don’t really think they’d close attractions to keep something secret, it just doesn’t make sense. If that were the case wind seeker would also probably be closed (Granted it is closed at least twice a day
)

Idk if this is possible but could our giga do that one thing all the dive coasters do? Slowly creep of the edge/drop and then all the sudden drop?
Technically yes if they modified the chain lift but why would you want to do that on a rollercoaster with such long trains, you waste speed and it isn’t even a vertical drop.

This looks like the same new attraction lineup that came with Cedar Point Shores with less slides in the kiddie pool. Looks like a great addition to CGA’s little waterpark which really isn’t so little anymore.
Michigan’s Adventure and Canada’s Wonderland are the only parks left without the Snake Pit slide complex. (Obviously excluding Schlitterbahn.)
Canada’s wonderland also has its original waterpark name so I definitely could foresee a similar renovation with a new name.

^ I get that there’s 367 pages of information on here but it’s been mentioned several times that the only names Cedar Fair has filled trademarks for is Orion & Polaris.

Wow! I was just on Carowinds Connection (because I was bored), and while this is slightly older, people were being very critical about Kings Island’s giga. Some were even happy it was “bad.” On another thread, people commented that it will cost the chain 15 million, which is half of Fury’s cost. I am not throwing shade at their forum, but I feel like they are misinformed.
The ride is probably going to cost 30ish million dollars, 15 million dollars is completely nonsensical. If people want to trash other parks be my guest, Kings Island is a great park that is incredibly well rounded, sure this giga isn’t a Fury 325 but we still have a great supporting lineup of rollercoasters (Better then a lot of the other parks in the chain).

If they were going to leave track laying around and it not be at the construction site I’d assume they place it in the parking lot? I doubt they’re going to go out of their way to hide track.

California’s great America has announced Boomerang Bay is no more, The new South Bay shores will open next year for 2020. Personally I hope the 3 other Paramount parks get similar major water park renovations with a local theme name. https://www.cagreatamerica.com/explore/south-bay-shores

I’m just jealous about the Winterfest parade, I don’t know how popular Kings Island would be during November, but it’d guess not very. I’d like to see the Peanuts celebration thing Carowinds is hosting to occur during the Spring time.

Guys, I've found an interesting video posted by Kings Island on Youtube. It may be pointing to a name we haven't yet thought of. https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ
Can’t believe I still fall for that in 2019.

Anyone else notice they neglected to refer to the area as X-Base and instead say Coney Mall? Referring to Flight of Fear as part of Coney Mall is strange and seems fishy to me (although that sentence was removed). Maybe X-base is no more and the area will be named/themed something else, or this will be marketed as some sort of Coney Mall expansion. If the latter is the case I think Shooting Star as the name is still a possibility.
I believe X-Base has always been considered apart of Coney mall.

Cedar Fair doesn’t seem to be nearly reckless with their installations compared to Paramount. I highly doubt the antique cars would be removed considering how beloved they are (We also would probably still have our original Eagles) Furthermore Kings dominions large antique cars which sits right by I-Street has been removed so money is on them not being removed.

^ Id say what you’re describing is just Cedars Fairs overall strategy, not just Kings Islands. Cedar Fair has found that seasonal events (Particularly Haunt) has helped boost their revenue and attendance and for that reason Winterfest returned. Cedar Point doesn’t have Winterfest simply due to the fact it’s a peninsula resulting in the pipes to freeze. Cedar Point also has the frontier festival so it’s not like they don’t have seasonal events.
