Why would you want either of those? Lol the New dive trains suck.

A lot of you are really jumping the gun here.  These are the first reportings of tree clearing and people are already thinking that's the entire space.  Give it time.

I wouldn’t say that they suck, they’re still fun an enjoyable rides, but I agree with you I’d be pretty disappointed if we got a wing or a dive(Don’t get me wrong they’d be cool additions but you know....)

Said on a piece on Channel 12 news that each car has a different license plate, and each plate references either a current or former ride in code.  The one they showed this morning (car 12) had the license plate WWC ???  Can't recall the 3 numbers, and Chad didn't explain that part until after they showed the plate, but obviously WWC is a reference to White Water Canyon and I assume the 3 numbers after it reference some sort of date or length or something to do with the ride.  That will make for a fun trip each time thru.

Yep the numbers are the date the ride opened. I’ve seen one for The Beast, Invertigo & Delirium. Pretty cool Easter egg

  3. Has any press been back to X-Base(Haven’t seen any photos from any news sources of the area)? Id assume that’s where the teasers would be, it’d be pretty easy to block that area off to the press to be honest.

Having been to nearly 20 Riverfests, most other fireworks shows, including Kings Island's, are kind of meh to me.  Rozzi's sets such a high bar for fireworks shows.

I mean I wouldn’t really expect much from Kings Islands fire work show considering how often they do it, especially since so few amusement parks do no nightly fireworks to begin with.

  5. This land clearing has been there for a while actually(It was around even before SOB was torn down according to google maps)... I think it’s just hard to see in the first photo due to how brown the terrain is.

I don't know about most others, but I believe Intamin has their own Swiss steel plant and then ship it.  I recall I-305 and Skyrush track arriving in shipping containers.   I think Mack has a similar practice.

That’s correct Mack’s steel is made in house.

Do other coaster manufacturers use CSF or mostly just B&M? I'm sure they do other stuff but has any other type of track ever shown up there?

They used to do work for Arrow, I believe they did Vortex & B&M actually examined Vortex when trying to decide who to use to manufacture their steel (I believe this was from an interview but I can’t quite remember).

I have not. What is the 20 year theory?

That Kings Island received the model of rollercoaster Cedar Point added 20 years earlier. Magnum XL - Diamond back, Raptor - Banshee, both installments 20 years after Cedar Point. Now the theory is 2020 for a giga since it’d be 20 years since Mill Force.

I doubt I'm the first to think this but this has been on my mind since the new year. Has anyone else heard the 20 year theory?

Yeah plenty of people have talked about about that. Personally I think it’s really just a coincidence considering Kings Island really needed both a Hyper rollercoaster and another large steel looping coaster.
