Being that nothing in the park reaches over 315 feet tall, I don't necessarily think they'll top Fury. Cause what would it mean for the park to have a Giga that's taller than the centerpiece of the park. If they did it, it would have to be very tastefully done.
Not to seem rude but I seriously doubt that many people would notice if the ride is 20 feet taller then the tower. Furthermore the ride wouldn’t be right next to the tower either.

I managed to find that photo online. But it’s the one from KiExtreme so you’ve probably seen it.

So when CedarFair builds a new rollercoaster how early do they copy right the name?

Does anyone think KI will drop a small 2020 hint tomorrow at the announcement?
If it really is a giga coming in 2020 then them starting to tease it wouldn’t be that surprising.

This is interesting! Could be nothing, but to me the drawing of the coaster seems to represent the corkscrew of The Vortex as it passes through the loops, with the lift hill in the background going from bottom left, to top right. Again, could be nothing, and probably is, but that is what i see.
I believe it’s the new Cedar Fair logo.

I don't know either, but I figure they stop making parts when there aren't anymore buyers for said parts.
Can anyone confirm they aren’t willing to produce the parts? I feel like They’d still be willing to make the parts but since there’s not a lot of flying Dutchman’s the parts just cost a ton of money. I feel like that’d be the more likely situation rather then the fact they won’t make the parts.

I agree with you in that The Bat is almost certainly not being removed. However, don't read too much into the paint. They painted King Cobra just one year before it was removed.
Yeah but was paramount known for making good decisions....

Of the two coasters you mentioned, one of them is reliable and a capacity machine.
The other is Firehawk.Further more it’d be pretty stupid of them to have repainted The Bat if they had intentions to remove the ride. Firehawk in the other hand is just sitting there with chipped paint.

Anyone who thinks Firehawk is moving needs to understand just how expensive moving a coaster is. The standard rule of thumb is it costs about 50% of buying and building a new coaster. For rides that are mechanically reliable and in good shape it still makes sense because it is still a considerable savings over new.
In this case we are dealing with a model of which only 3 coasters were ever built, so there are a LOT of custom components which are expensive. It is still very possible, but I am expecting Firehawk to be scrapped, and the trains and other salvageable components to be shipped to Carowinds to keep Nighthawk operating.
Why spend $10 to $15 million moving and installing Firehawk when you can get something reliable instead?
Also considering the fact Kentucky Kingdom is a small park it’d make absolutely no sense for them to even touch this ride.

I just hope that speculation is true and we get something to replace what we lose. The conference call stuff about cutting costs has me a little worried.
Cedar Fair has had a pretty bad season from what it appears. If the ride is indeed Firehawk then it’s pretty obvious that it’s getting removed because it’s maintenance is terrible. I still believe that Kings Island will get a large investment in the coming years considering the fact the last two years have been incredibly small investments.

I love Firehawk. I giggle my butt off during the whole ride. It is so much fun! I will be sad if they take it down. They need to get rid of Adventure Express it is so rough and jerky noone rides it anymore.
Id rather have Adventure Express go than Firehawk. Adventure Express doesn't fit in at all with its theming. Firehawk at leasts offers an unique experience compared to Adventure Express which is just a mine train with bad and strange theming. Sadly though Its probably going to end up being Firehawk.

Hello everyone just wanted to give my take on this. I believe it will be Firehawk only due to its high maintenance. Kings Island still has nearly 400 acres of undeveloped land and Its sad that they're removing the ride only due to this reason. They still have plenty of space to build a coaster without removing the ride. At least 2020 is going to be a coaster year considering the fact they're removing a coaster.

I completely agree. Since they’re building dorms back there maybe there’s potential to add a camp ground since they’re building the infrastructure required for something like that.
