Does anyone have photos of said activity going on in the crypt building? Maybe someone here can get some photos of the backside of the building from The Beast plaza.

I’ve heard they use a portion of the building for storage.

You can see it in Tower Topics where you can barley see drills and trash containers for drilling concrete.

    Time to revoke my pass!

I swear if a madhouse or something lame gets put in that building that housed the best dark ride of all time, I'm never going back.

Don't push it too hard. I'll try to tell Mike Koontz to send you something Tomb Raider related stuff. And if I can't, well 2027 could be the year Vortex returns.

Folks, I think this feels like the beginning of the 2026 attraction! It is also possible that they are taking the walls out to either replace the maze or to do something to the building itself (replacing the floor or total demolition). Does anyone know which department is responsible for Haunt maze construction? Now this has me wondering what all is constructed on-site and how/where any prefabricated set pieces are assembled.

I wouldn't say this could be a complete disappointment compared to TR:TR, but it certainly has the potential to be hit or miss like every other ride does. Everything is a rumor until official documentation is filed and more progress is seen. It's possible that everything moving around is so that the walls of the building can be worked on and repaired. Last time I was in there with the lights on I noticed that the insulation and fabric covers were looking very worse for wear. Move the walls out, bring in some lifts that can reach high places, fix it, tidy up, and put things back. That would at least line up with any Haunt construction timelines that would require the building to be ready by September. (I also don't think most repairs like this require permitting, so take that as you will.)

Personally, I'd love to see either a Danse Macabre (dynamic motion stage ride at Efteling) or a Zamperla Demolition Derby (Mater's Junkyard Jamboree at Disney's California Adventure) go somewhere in the park. Rivertown is, theoretically, supposed to be what it says on the tin: a town along a river, complete with industry, wildlife, and water. I'm kind of hoping anything that goes in there doesn't heavily play into the "industry" part of Rivertown's theme. Whatever they do, I just hope they also paint the building to hopefully blend in with the sky/treeline.

Don't forget rumor saying that Vekoma is building a family thrill attraction for Kings Island next year. My (and most obvious) guess is a Madhouse.

Or what about the skyflyer area? @BoddaH1994 shared a photo on facebook of a survey flag in that area. Now that could be many things, but I definitley will be keeping my eyes there as well as Timberwolf this season.

New queue line for Drop Tower I think. But there could also be more activity going on inside. Beside do you see construction fence in Action Zone or no.

How about a mythical creature/cryptid theme? Show some love for the Loveland Frog Man while keeping Banshee and The Bat as they are. It would be a fun theme that couldn't really be seen as a thematic copy of Dark Universe at Epic Universe.

You can still do the same with the horror theme area. and Loveland Frogman is better as a Haunt maze.

Interesting. I know Rapterra came out with a 48' height requirement, which was unusual because of the original 52' height requirement for all coasters with Vest Restraints. Holiday World was then notified by B&M that they could lower the height requirement from 52' to 48'. I'll be curious to see if any other Vest Restraint coasters get lowered (Banshee, Valravn, GateKeeper, etc.) Here's the Screamscape article:

    https://screamscape.com/html/holiday_world.htm

Banshee's ain't going to change it's height requirement, it's too forceful to do that.

  7. Whenever WindSeeker is operating and during the heat, I'll always ride it to get nice breeze flowing through my face and great views around. The same goes for the Star Flyer models from Funtimes. (I'm hoping that I can go to RiverSide Park or Over Texas and ride on the 400 ft model.

Not sure of the costs, but an Intamin dynamic motion stage in the crypt building would probably be neat and qualify as family thrill.

A Vekoma Madhouse cost around $13,000,000.00, Intamin's Dynamic Motion Stage cost way over $38,179,925.00 which cost a lot like a new roller coaster and be the parks biggest investment surpasting Orion by over 8 million.
