I am so very sorry I let you guys down on the pictures, just too dark. I did get a glance and they are painting another section of the track blue

That’s okay, and thanks for keeping us in the know with what is going on at Clermont Steel Fabricators. However, do you know when you will be able to snap some photos because that will make my day?

  3. I know Tony Clark has always been joking about getting an Aquatrax, and maybe since Cedar Fair is B&M’s playground, they will build their first water coaster at Cedar Point.

Edit: Since Carowinds recently removed their Intamin River Rapids Ride, maybe they are also a possibility for receiving this new coaster... if it is a water coaster.

  4. I don’t know how much this is related, but did anyone else see that B&M filed a trademark for a “Surf Coaster?” I know this is not KI’s 2020 roller coaster, but it is interesting...

Food for thought.  What about a BM retrack of Vortex.  Same layout just smoother.  What about a RMC conversion of Adventure Express?

I am not sure the transition from Arrow to B&M track will be all that smooth...

I know this isn't a fan favorite but....Since Intamin is somewhat making a come back at Universal. It could be another option for the 2023/2024 coaster. Just a thought but id wait to see how Hagrid's preforms. Also what about premier rides? they are supposedly the mfg for the new SeaWorld coaster.....We will see how that coaster looks. I am good on any other B&M's.

I would be all for an Intamin launch coaster coming to the park, but Cedar Fair seems to be working with Mack Rides now. In the future, I do see Cedar Fair eventually working with Intamin again as their rides are cheaper than Mack’s.

Also, part of me does not even see us getting a straight-up launch coaster anytime soon, from any manufacturer, because Cedar Point is so close, and their launch coaster is one their stand-out attractions. I could see a Mack Spinning Coaster, however, but I don’t feel like that would be as great... but that is my opinion.

  7. I personally don’t mind how the fountains look at all! I think the renovation makes them more interesting to watch as they actually move and dance to the music during the day. And at night, even though I didn’t get the full experience, they are ten times better than they were last year as they light up and jump to the music (I am really looking forward to seeing the full show next time I visit)! Even if the new fountains were absolute garbage, like some people have said, the newly renovated International Street more than makes up for that. The park didn’t have to do this for us at all, but they wanted to do to it in order to improve OUR guest experience! The thought behind it was to make it more enjoyable for us. I am not saying “shut up and be grateful,” because we all have our own opinions, but it is like when you were young and you got a gift that you were not very fond of... you still said “thank you” because that person went the extra mile to give you something they thought you would enjoy. That was most definitely Cedar Fair’s intention behind the new International Street, and I think we should all appreciate what they, as a company, have done to make us have a better experience at the park.

Might have had to do with as slow as it takes that last inversion.

The slowness of that last inversion is what makes it so good, especially when your phone falls out of your pocket...

  9. That is really good to know because on Tuesday I passed up a night ride on The Beast just to see the new Royale Finale, and the fountains kept on turning off. I hope to see the fountains working correctly next time I visit as I think they look pretty cool... when they work...

Yeah I was also there last night and noticed the same thing, they kind of died down in the middle of show. Anyone know if it was like that the first night?

From the earlier videos I have seen from the first night of the Royale Finale, they never died down once they started.

  11. The park could remove Vortex and put a Mack or Intamin launch coaster there. I feel like every season, Vortex’s popularity declines, and as it keeps on aging, the park will eventually take it out. I think a launch coaster would fit perfectly there as everyone would stand around and watch it, and it would be a an absolute GP magnet. My only doubt with this happening is that it would make that general are of the park more crowded with Mystic Timbers, Diamondback, and The Beast nearby. It would make more sense to put it on the left side of the park near Action Zone or Oktoberfest.

Or to replace Vortex they could always go the dive route... I know the GP will like that...

Thanks! It really is! I think B&M knocked it out of the park with this one, given the budget and space.

And the timing is on me actually. I’m working hard to edit and peice together a cinematic video worthy of such a momentous project! When it’s finally done and out, I think you won’t be disappointed!

Thanks for taking the time to do this! I know that I am not the only one looking forward to see what you have produced! At this point, I don’t know who’s not looking forward to it!

  13. DustinTheNow, I am really starting to like the layout of Kings Island’s 2020 giga based off of your design. If the actual coaster is anything close to your No Limits 2 design, I think we are all in for a treat! On a side note, do you know when Amusement Insiders will upload that POV?

Has anyone already seen this POV of this new Chinese hyper? The layout seems really similar to the proposed giga:

I saw that too! It looks like it packs quite a punch for not even being over 200 feet. I think it is 164 feet tall to be exact, and it looks better than most of the actual B&M hypers. Some people need to understand that height is not everything. Maybe our giga that is not actually 300 feet tall will be better than most of the other gigas?

It is on a day the park will be closed. The only real reason I am thinking of going is because I feel like everything would be a walk on. Thanks for the replies.

I do not think that you will be able to use your dining plan if the park is going to be closed, unfortunately. I say this because I don’t think you will have the opportunity to scan your pass for admission if other people from the public are not coming through the gates. If restaurant venues are open however, maybe, just maybe, they will hear you out, but I am not sure it works like that...

You would be surprised at how permanent tents can be.  Universal Orlando uses a pair of tents from a company called Sprung.  They are effectively permanent and used for Halloween Horror Nights, they have been at the park for more then a decade now.

This does not appear to be a structure from that company but just because it might be a tent does not make it cheap or not permanent.

I was referring to them as temporary tents because someone had mentioned that they do not need to have plans filed with the City of Mason only if the structure is temporary. I was wondering why no plans had been filed for this new structure, and apparently, they would be only need to be filed if it was going to be a permanent structure. But maybe we are missing something?

  17. I have only been to one private event at the park, and they had catered food provided but am not sure that is for all events or just for the one I was at. Is your event during an actual daily operations day or on a separate day when the park is closed? I think the larger ones are on days when the park is closed.

I doubt it if it’s considered temporary, they’ll probably take the tent down after use and keep the pad for future use

If it is for storage, wouldn’t you think that they would keep it up year-round. Where are they going to put the floats when the tent is taken down?
