  1. A note to add for Carowinds. There has been land clearing in the former Dinosaurs Alive plot for the past two weeks or so. I do not think it's related to ArieForce One, as Six Flags hasn't made the decision on which park is going to get it yet. It wouldn't make sense for that park to start land clearing for an attraction that hasn't been confirmed yet, so I'm going to assume that's going to be for a separate project. I also watched a recent video from Amusement Insiders that also discussed survey markers appearing around Canada's Wonderland that appear to be for footers. However, he stated that the markers don't line up with the type of footers used for an RMC I-Box.
  2. I can already see the noise complaints from GWL about AF1’s lift hill
  3. Another thing I would like to add in relation to staffing and capacity is that if Kings Island gets AF1, they will probably incorporate in-queue lockers and metal detectors like Steel Vengeance and Twisted Timbers.
  4. Those locations were his speculation only, and I definitely don't see that second location happening for the same reason you just described. The first is a little more feasible, though I imagine it would add significant costs to build new maintenance buildings farther out from the park as well as the parade float tent. If AF1 comes to Kings Island, I think it would probably go somewhere else instead of the two locations he brought up.
  5. Take this with a heavy grain of salt, but ElToroRyan on YouTube stated that he's heard recent rumors of Kings Island being the park that bought ArieForce One. I do consider him a credible source, as he previously was the first to report about Top Thrill Dragster being redone by Zamperla and Kingda Ka being retired after 2024. This is unconfirmed, so it's entirely possible that this could be false or there could be a change of plans, so please don't take this as fact until we hear otherwise.
  6. There's several Dollywood ads in Cincinnati. There's another one on I75 south by St. Bernard. Another big part of that is the whole Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area being a huge tourist spot for anybody living within a 4-6 hour radius of it. Including people who live in the Cincinnati area where Kings Island is. There's a Dairy Queen near my house that has discounts for Holiday World tickets. Holiday World is 2.5 hours away and Kings Island isn't even an hour from where I live.
  7. I get that, but Herschend has previously been one of the biggest gold standards when it came to quality control in the amusement industry. If this was at a Six Flags park, I wouldn't be nearly as critical since the lack of quality control is to be expected from that chain.
  8. I made that comment a day before Dolly's passing. With hindsight, that's certainly a possibility. However, Flying Fox at Kentucky Kingdom was also unfinished when it opened to the public, so I'm leaning on this being more of a Herschend thing than something that's specific to Dollywood. We'll see what happens with Miner's Mountain Express when that opens up next year at SDC.
  9. Herschend and Dollywood should be absolutely embarrassed by the opening of this ride. It was clearly not ready, as the ride can’t even stay open for longer than two hours a day. People need to stop giving excuses for parks that rush out barely-operable rides, regardless if it’s Six Flags, Herschend or any other park operator.
  10. Yes, Batman at SFGAm is the first B&M invert and an ACE landmark because of that.
  11. Looks like the cockroaches and bedbugs were having a good time too.
  12. Allegedly, management from SFOG went to assess ArieForce One to see if they could relocate it, but it was a no-go. The person who said this alleged they heard this from a family member of the park president, so take this with a huge grain of salt.
  13. I'm wondering if the dining plan counter starts after you purchase it. If so, I'm probably going to wait until after this season ends to buy it, so it doesn't overlap with my 2026 meal plan.
  14. Can confirm. I was waiting in line for Flight of Fear a few years back and the ride went down due to storms.
  15. You can see remnants of Wolf Pack with the removal of some of the rails and air gates, as well as wooden platforms placed above some of the track sections to be used as bridges for the haunt maze.
  16. I'm in the same boat. I think if Kings Island ever got an RMC, it would be best if it had 3 trains for better capacity. AF1 has two trains with only 5 cars instead of the usual 6. I think the layout for AF1 would also make it awkward to fit into either Vortex plot or Action Zone, assuming that's where it would go. I think AF1 would be a better fit at a park like Holiday World (especially the 4th of July area with that color scheme) but there's still no telling what's going to happen to AF1 at this point in time.
  17. This ride is costing Holiday World $22 million, so I would imagine a larger version of that would cost Kings Island at least $25 million, maybe even over $30 million which would make it more expensive than Orion. I think realistically if we get a new water ride, it would be something like what Carowinds is getting with Rip Roarin' Falls.
  18. Glad to see a Mack Water Coaster finally come to the Midwest! The closest one as of right now is Journey to Atlantis at SeaWorld Orlando.
  19. I don't think anybody is going to argue Millennium Force and Maverick not being in the upper tier coasters of that park.
  20. It wouldn't be the first time Silver Dollar City has done that. (Looking at you, Fire in the Hole) Although, I hope they give this new coaster its own name and theme outside of Thunderation.
  21. Nothing is confirmed at the moment, but the rumor is that it's going to be a Mack Rides family launch coaster. Something like what Wiener Prater is adding for next year. I would guess it would be a spiritual successor to Thunderation.
  22. Guess you could say it really "rocked" their wallet...
  23. Looking at this construction photo, the plot seems pretty flat from what I’m able to see. The only complication I could see is the area where it goes over the arcade building.
  24. This press release was just released by Fun Spot. If you haven't been on Arieforce One yet, I would recommend trying to go down there if possible. This park is located about 30 minutes from Six Flags Over Georgia.
  25. Nothing is confirmed yet, but if this does end up being the end for Congo Falls... I don't think it's being removed for a future attraction. It's incredibly weird timing to be closing this ride right at the start of summer instead of Labor Day weekend. That only signals to me that it's removal is due to high maintenance costs and the plot will sit vacant for a while. Just like a certain "other" plot that has been sitting vacant for 6 years...
