What is the definition of awhile I wonder?  I am thinking maybe the 2023 season we would see something in that space. That is valuable land in the park to leave empty for too long.

Rumor has it they're just going to let the brush in that area grow out. I hope they don't. Coney mall needs a few more flat rides or another roller coaster even.

Also, that post makes me think that something forced the park to remove Vortex before they really wanted too.

I think your right about that. They did remove the ride rather quickly and CF was way more secretive about it's removal then they were about Firehawk's.

I found the video by GP to Enthusiast a few posts ago very informative

It's a very interesting video. I had no idea someone died after riding the SOB in 2007 or that the ride broke people's necks and backs in it's first couple years. I'm glad someone mentioned it

Its really strange how the darkness adds to The Beast.  The Beast in the front row on a crisp cool fall night is probably still my number one coaster after all of these years however in the day time the coaster for me is hardly worth riding.

Have you ridden it in or after the rain? IMO the ride feels just as wild as it does during the night ride (you can just see during the rain ride) and the woods look beautiful and refreshed in the rain. After a storm or when it's misty is a good way to get an awesome day ride.

I think Diamondback is technically the best out of the three (Banshee is a very close second), but The Beast is my favorite of the three and my favorite coaster in general.  I've had rain rides, night rides during the fireworks, and rides in the front car on a breezy day. I've just had to many memorable rides on the thing not to love it.

  4. I see a lot of hate for this ride, but I would love to see Scooby Doo and The Haunted Mansion return. That ride was my childhood and is the reason I love Scooby Doo.

But, I know that's wishful thinking since they would need to get the rights back. I would also love to see some of the old Oktoberfest and Coney Mall rides return like Der Springing Keggers, Bayern Curve, Hailey's Comet, and Skylab. I  kind of want to see the Tumble Bug return too.
