The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Park (11/25/72), filmed at Cincinnati's King's Island amusement park. This was one movie filmed in the park. But it is very hard to find a tape of the show. Anyone have any ideas where to find a tape of it?

I am tring to find movies or shows that where filmed in Kings Island in the past showing all of the old rides in the park. Does anyone know of any shows or moives filmed in the park other than the Brady Bunch?

They removed Stealth for land for the new Water Park.

When Paramount frist bought Kings Island there was a rumor of a Paramount Studio where Action Zone is today. The problem with Kings Island and other parks like it that they are seasonal park and thats why you do not see rides like the ones like at Disney or Universal.

Hanna-Barbera's Banana Splits appear in the only entry which features extensive live-action sequences. The Banana Splits in Hocus Pocus Park (11/25/72), filmed at Cincinnati's King's Island amusement park. The Splits are tour guides who offer to take a little girl, Susie, on a tour of the park. The little girl spies a runaway balloon and tries to retreive it. The balloon floats away, and right into a billboard advertising an area of the park inhabited by Hocus and Pocus, magicians with special powers, and an evil witch. As Susie and the Splits enter the billboard they become animated characters and encounter the witch. The witch captures Susie, and the Splits with the help of Hocus and Pocus must fight a mechanical knight to gain her freedom. Does anyone know where I can find a tape of this? Sorry chief, Hanna-Barbera was sold to Turner then The WB. So we would have that Hanna-Barbera. P.S. Hanna-Barbera doesn't own the Smurfs. Peyo, the creator did. They just licensed the characters. Viacon owns the Nick Toons and Paramount. Why did Taft sell the park in the frist place?????????????????

I would have to say the Tumble Bug and the flyers for me I know its not on your poll.

I rode The Beastie or Scooby Doo as it was called when I was a kid. You got one trip and had to get off. Now the Scooby Zoom you got to go around two times. I wish the park would paint The Beastie(Scooby Doo) to the old color theme yellow and red. They changed the name of The Sooby Doo to The Beastie in 1979. Hope that helps

The last year they had WinterFest season pass holders got in for free. If WinterFest does comeback I am not sure what the park will do. From taking the survey I did don't think Winter Fest will cost that much to get in to the park. Like I said not sure if winterfest will comeback the park is looking into in right now.

I don't thing PKI should open any of the coasters outside. I went to media day for Tomb Raider The Ride and it was 31 that night. They had two coasters open The Racer Front and The Beastie. I rode both of them and I never felt so much pain in my hands and face before from the cold wind. I do see them opening open Filght Of Fear and Tomb Raider The Ride both of them do have heat.

I got a e-mail asking me to take a poll to see if I wanted Winter Fest to come back from PKI. I am not sure when or if it will come back to PKI but I was happy to see the park was looking into bring Winter Fest back. Some of things on the poll asked about the old Winter Fest and rides. Also about a winter show and food. If anyone knows more about Winter Fest Coming back at all please tell.

from what I have heard about the monorail the fact it was the only pay for ride at the time and fixing it was a smart move to take it out. The monorail was not like Disney and was not that high off the ground. You can still vist the monorails from PKI at Jungle Jims out back in the parking lot. The frist year Top Gun was open you had to walk pass the monorail to get to the it and the monorail also took up too much room for one ride.

Kings Island sometime uses the H-B characters in the Picinic grounds. We had George Jetson this year for Union Day. P.S. Didn't there used to be a huge statue of Flintstones Dinosaur in Hanna-Barbera with Fred.

I wonder if the new water will cost the 2005 ride to be pushed backed a year?

I would like to see a water coaster in the new water park. I would like to see PKI get a new ride that looks like a clasic ride that was once in the park. Just for flat rides.

Extreme Rides 2003 Dare to ride a roller coaster that exceeds 120 miles per hour or soar 400 feet upward into the sky, viewers explore the technology and thrills behind the highest, fastest, tallest and scariest amusement rides to open in parks this past year. Buckle up! at 9:00 p.m. Is this the show taped at Kings Island not to long ago?

I know from a Fact that The Shooting Star is not that The Racer or any part of it, and The Scooby Doo (Beastie) is not the Teady Bear Rollercoaster. If you read the last pages of the book writen by Charles Jaques Jr. He explanes it all. Italianchef do you know when the PKI History book will becoming out?? I have heard this summer last year, but have not heard anything this year.

I would should like to see a old coaster from old Coney Island back in the park. I know it mite not be as thrilling for the young people of today, but would be neet to ride. The Teddy Bear would still fit back in its old spot and I am not sure on the other rides. If you like to look at any of the pictures I have in my Cincinnatis Coney Island yahoo group here is the link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coneyislandc...cincinnatiohio/

If Coney Island does add a log flume, among other rides where would they put them. The Shooting Star would be where River Fest is today and I don't think they would what to take seats away at something making money.
