  1. You mean the one at Kings Dominion which is also not there any more? That one?
  2. I might be willing to try to like it if the guns even half way worked even half the time....
  3. Well, if the guy had only used his Nitro... (Am I really getting caught up in this?)
  4. Yep, I just posted that link in a thread beastfan11 started what? Yesterday?
  5. And here I was so proud of myself for not using that line! I saw an opportunity to use it but was afraid it was rather wooden.
  6. They take the Coney Mall sign down during the time the Nick parade runs. It's over now, and the sign is back up. Per usual!
  7. Amen! Paramount Communications aka Paramount Pictures would have been an ideal owner, in my opinion. But, Viacom bought them and shuffled the park from one part of the conglomerate to another, then Viacom and CBS split and we know how that ended, at least so far. . .
  8. Uh, all those waters are very low sodium...they do NOT add any significant amount of salt to them. That'd start a medical controversy (and litigation) to end all medical controversies if they did that! From Dasani's website: WHY DOES DASANI’S NUTRITION FACT PANEL LIST SODIUM AND 0g? THE PURIFICATION PROCESS USED TO MAKE DASANI REMOVES VIRTUALLY ALL MINERALS AND IMPURITIES FROM THE WATER. BUT IN TASTE TESTS, PEOPLE PREFERRED DASANI WHEN EXTREMELY SMALL AMOUNTS OF MINERALS WERE ADDED. HOW SMALL? SO SMALL THAT THE FDA CONSIDERS THEM ALL, INCLUDING THE SODIUM, TO BE NUTRITIONALLY INSIGNIFICANT. So the minerals added are more marketing than anything else.
  9. Are you by any chance using Firefox? I have the same problem with Firefox...
  10. I didn't. Just my opinion did! And I didn't even realise you knew me that well!
  11. http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14091607/ Perhaps a little light will be shown as to what happens next, though probably not.
  12. Uh, Six Flags went out of business in Aurora, Ohio. Stuff marked Six Flags Worlds of Adventure could not be sold. Cedar Fair bought Paramount Parks in North America. It did not go out of business. And, for all we know, Winterfest may be back again some day, though I wouldn't hold my breath until I turned blue waiting on it. . .
  13. Same coaster, at its earlier location. Sigh: http://www.cnn.com/US/9908/29/rollercoaster.01/ Here's a picture: http://www.rcdb.com/ig723.htm?picture=3
  14. http://www.katv.com/news/stories/0706/348668.html Magic Springs Ride Re-opens After Woman was Injured Sunday July 30, 2006 4:34pm Posted By: Cassie Cummings Hot Springs - A ride at Magic Springs re-opened Sunday, after a woman was thrown from the ride. A worker with Magic Springs says that the Twist and Shout ride is operating again despite a malfunction Saturday where a woman was thrown from the ride. Hot Springs police say 45-year-old Falecia Robinson was on the ride Saturday when the force of the ride pushed her causing her to fall nearly 15 feet. The ride was shut down last night and the department of labor was called out to inspect it. No mechanical problems were found, and the ride was deemed safe to operate again.
  15. BB = Boomerang Bay. There are no stupid questions....but there are some stupid answers.
  16. Unfortunately, the patrons are not. Technology of sky rides has changed very, very little and was never the problem. Patrons keeping their spit in their mouths and their objects in the gondola WAS.
  17. What? Documenting the prices or changing them? I, for one, hope Cedar Fair changes them. I see them going one way....down. And those Montgomery Inn prices are nowhere near as reasonable as they might seem...they do NOT include a beverage, nor are the "Montgomery Inn" ribs the same as those served in their fine eateries at the Boathouse by Coney or in Montgomery. Not even the meat is the same, in my humble opinion.
  18. http://tinyurl.com/pxfod (You will want to see the picture there...be warned it is rather graphic, and sad)
  19. Well, since you took them, you probably ought to know!
  20. Here's a really nice gallery of pictures from Great Adventure I think you will enjoy. The photographer is quite talented! http://www.cyclonic.smugmug.com/gallery/1699019
  21. I also think it speaks volumes that they never did bother to cover most of the Son of Beast line. Taft and KECO usually put up slatted covers (like Beast still has and King Cobra did). Cedar Fair puts up lots of those tent style structures, as does Six Flags. Most of the Son of Beast line remains uncovered to this day. Oh well. I am sure there are much higher priorities for that area of the park.
  22. That's odd. I thought it was closed.
