Wow...they really caught us with our guard down. Here I was watching it earlier and didn't see a thing.

Harry County Council Chair Reacts To HRP Offer:
http://www.scnow.com/scp/news/local/grand_...rp_offer/32995/
Horry County.
I think I should get a medal for catching a mistake made by you. It's a rare occurrence in my opinion.
Anyways, I find this interesting. The buyers will be getting the park at a fraction of the original investment. Hopefully they can do something with it. It would be a shame to see it go to waste...well more of one.

I can't wait to be standing there with the coasters train zooming over my head.
-

^That is beautiful. Just beautiful.
Perhaps the reasons for more rocks than in the rendering was, they had been dug up during construction, and needed a place to go. Haha, okay probably not...but oh well.

I have a feeling you are in for the shock of your life, pleasantly so, on April 18, 2009...if you are at Kings Island that day.
Won't be there that day. Probably mid June or early July. Goliath at SFoG was quite amazing, so I'm hoping for something along those lines.

I still think Raging Bull was incredible.

When seeing the slides covered in snow, all I can think of is bobsledding.

For those of you that have ridden coasters similar to Diamondback, how are their "whiplash" dynamics compared to say, Vortex or Adventure Express?
Compared to those two rides, this will be extremely smooth. I doubt it will have much whiplash, if any.
-
Same ride, different experience...hmm
Well the other night I rode SOB in my dream. I gotta say it was a much smoother experience (and even in the dream I noted that these new trains made a world of difference.) In real life however, it is a little different, but I can still enjoy it.

Maybe some of the KIC crew are on site filming and taking pictures as well.
-
Well, my county picked a great day for a snow day.
-
It's working for me now, but the image is blurry.
Edit: Nevermind, it's frozen at 1:55 for me too. Oh well.
-
The webcam is being hit or miss for me. Maybe too much traffic? Who knows.
Edit: For anyone that the webcam is working for, would you mind posting the pictures?

So the guys name is Joe Tomaro. Hmm...so if I'm pronouncing that corretly...
does that make the rocket ship the...car of tomaro?
-
ok thanks!
(that sucks!)
Maybe for you...
Said by the guy who put a plastic grocery bag over his shoes to ride WDW's Kali River Rapids in order to keep them from getting wet.

I couldn't help but find some sense of humor when I saw the snow cones stand in this picture.

I have not ridden Time Warp, but given it is the same model coaster from Zamperla, I cannot see why it would be any more comfortable. Finally, I have something that is even worse than Manhattan Express aka The Roller Coaster at New York, New York in Las Vegas or Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia to talk about.
Haha, I rode Ninja at SFOG 3 times in a row. It definitely took some skill to enjoy riding it, and a careful seat choice.

The zoo says it'll cost about $1,000 an animal to replace the sharks. That money covers transportation, medical checks, and manpower.
When I first read this I was going to comment about only costing 1K for 15 sharks, and was surprised. Then I re-read it. 15K is definitely not cheap. It's a shame to see that happen, but I'm sure they will learn from this and it will definitely prevent it from happening in the future, probably even at other aquariums.

is it really going to take them another full week to place 11 pieces of track? being that they go on and bolt two or three track segments together before they hoist them into place?
I have no expertise in this field, but I would guess that would make it very hard to manage. I remember seeing a thing on constructing Griffon. It was no easy task just to get one piece of track in place, not to mention several at once.

So, it's been a month and I don't think KICentral has updated their photo gallery.... Any reason for the lack of photos? Or did I miss something?
I have a fever, and the only cure is photo gallery updates.
My best guess is they just decided to hold off until the event. But, who knows? Maybe they are just about to release one.

Hearing the balls bouncing in the park make me wish that I had the skills of a so-so punter. Just enough to go over to the kid with his pants practically around his ankles and his flat billed hat tilted to the side, take the ball, punt it away, and watch him stare in disbelief.

Musicians: Kings Island is looking for the following instruments: trumpet, saxophone, trombone and tuba. Please prepare to play in a contemporary pop style. Bring a current photo and a one-page resume.
It's a shame I live so far away...

-
Well, I feel bad that I have not made it to a Busch park yet.
-
Once they start testing, if the construction cam is still up and the person who does all the stitching of the pictures together, I think it would be kinda funny to see a stitch showing the train at different places around the track at the same time.

My initial thought was something like that, but now I don't believe that is the case.
