Doesn’t that pretty much confirm this isn’t happening? I wonder if that means they had proposals to overhaul the ride before it was demolished.

I hope they bulldoze that station and all of the rumors surrounding it.

So Chad really is cool with just pulling on the heartstrings of fans, very classy.
(Not directed towards you specifically)
Look, I’m not a fan of the current direction of things. And as someone who works in marketing, I’m also baffled by a lot of the decisions that come out from that side of the park. But to blame him specifically for this “teaser” is kind of absurd. I mean, if the park does so little as move a landscaping rock, there are enthusiasts that immediately take that as a “hint” regarding SOB returning.
The only ones responsible for any disappointment are the ones who are over reacting and assuming every little thing is a hint/teaser.
And it bears repeating that SOB was an awful, miserable fail of an attraction. It was a money pit that physically harmed guests on a few different occasions. And even if you weren’t involved in any of those incidents, the ride experience as a whole left much to be desired. The land where there ride stood is mostly occupied by another attraction. So, any new version would be by name alone. So is that really a SOB revival? And to that point, if there was to be a major new coaster addition, why would you want it to be associated with a ride that has such a miserable past?
The hype around the ride was fun. The actual experience was mediocre on a good day. Ultimately, SOB was a low point in an otherwise world class coaster line up. Why do it again in any way?
This display is a lot of fun. I love stuff like this. But it’s cool if it stays as a fun throwback to a defunct attraction.

You’re just going to give the park that idea for free? Hahaha. Love it.

I really, really had a thing for this show when I was younger. A lot of fun memories.

Looks like the Haunt site is live:

New for this year… Pirates!
(I’m old enough to remember the previous Pirate themed haunt. Yikes.)

Congratulations! A new enthusiast will be born soon.
Thanks man! And of course. She doesn’t have another option. Haha. Enthusiast for life already.

Say what you will about another bar, but IS doesn’t have any alcoholic options as far as I know. So it makes sense. Call me crazy, but a cold beer and Fountain ERT are a great way to spend an evening. This was forever ago, but I’ll always share again as it was my best solo trip to date. Great memories.
That said, since it is The French Corner, I hope their adult beverage options are thematically appropriate. Wine would be the obvious choice. Which would be nice. I know the Food and Wine festival wasn’t totally well received, but I loved having a glass of wine in Tower Gardens. And selfishly, I’d love to have that option in the future because Mrs. Beastfan fan wasn’t able to partake in the wine this summer in prep for Baby Beastfan’s arrival this Haunt season.
I know the increased alcohol sales bother a lot of people, but it only serves to drive revenue and as an enthusiast I can’t complain about that. I just hope that money is invested back into the park and not into the golden parachute factory this merger has created.
Cheers, everyone.

It’s a shame an event like this wouldn’t do well in Cincinnati.

I’d love for a nice train display somewhere. Especially with the imminent closure of Enertrainment Junction at the end of the year.

Doesn't Flags own Hanna-Barbera as well? If so I wouldn't mind going back to Scooby-Doo.
I don’t think they do. But for the sake of my love for Scooby and the rest of the HB gang, let’s wish this into existence.

Family Thrill/Dark Ride Coaster for me.
Which is wild because I’ve been all about an update to BBoBH for years. But the dated ride concept and technology coupled with an even further potential reduction in capacity seems to be a massive step backward. If it’s difficult to keep up with BBoBH, how well would this Peanuts dark ride honestly be maintained?

Looks like a really solid addition. Nice to see Premier getting some attention in the chain. Makes me excited to see what could occupy The Vortex spot.

Kinda sad that our thematic expectations are so low that we’re wishing for light bulbs. Haha. I, too, am still hoping to see this project through all the way. I really love what they’ve done for the ride. So very close. Get those tunnels lit and those masks back up! Wouldn’t hate the creaky wood sound effects back on the first lift hill either.
Man, I love Adventure Express.

Sounds like from a name/theming perspective they could be shifting focus away from the generic Soak City. I’d dig it. Looks like a great addition!

Hey, if they lean into it, it might be cool. Holiday Horror 3.0!

No way knowing for sure, but I can’t imagine they would be happy if that were the case. So I’d assume there would be some kind of NDA-like agreement in place.
