  1. You said it yourself: James, Wade & Bosh made the deal long ago. Many NBA stars knew of LeBron's deal, thus his not committing to the Cavs. How could management possibly sign anyone with top tier talent given they all knew he was not committed? What made Jordan the best is he made the players around him better. He did not rely on their talent to boost his game.
  2. LaBackstabber ended his meeting with Pat Riley not signing a deal. This was the best time for him to sign with the Heat. Walking away tonight is a sign he will probably not sign with them. The media frenzy will only get worse & the rumors to Cleveland will intensify.
  3. Yes, LaBackstabber betrayed Cleveland. The team DID make the NBA finals. You have to win to do that. If he lets other players know he is staying in C-Town, they sign with the Cavs. Since the other players knew he was not committed to the team, they had no reason to sign either. Jr. Gemini? Nope. Jr. Jordan is more appropriate.
  4. CP is pretty well covered in the coaster, overnight, & restaurant areas too.It could be anything. My heart wants a coaster, my head tells me it's gonna be a unique large flat.
  5. Even if the tree falling is not true: I can imagine many rides being shut down across the country for tree trimming tomorrow.
  6. As shocking as that pic is, look at the positive: the people appear to no have suffered a major injury & the train looks to have not fallen to the ground.
  7. Using the "stealth assassin" in the one article is sad. This is bad news as it is. There is no reason to create more drama. I pray it sounds worse than it really is.
  8. Pure speculation...... I wonder of a cast piece broke (cracked??) that is part of the whole lifting device that surrounds the center spindle. That would explain why the whole ride is lifted off the ground. A piece like that would not be on a shelf & would take a considerable amount of time to make.
  9. Waiting for parts makes the most sense.
  10. I have determined that the reputation surrounding Beast being a great coaster comes from those who were able to enjoy it back in the 70's. Not because the ride has drastically changed over the years, but because it was so different compared to most coasters back then. Beast may not enthrall today's enthusiasts because they have no choice but to compare Beast to today's coasters that have a HUGE technical advantage; but as a six year old back in 1979 there is nothing, and there will never be anything, like it.
  11. Most guests don't even know they are line jumping. Let's be realistic: are those couple people just trying to catch up with their group really going to make your wait that much longer? 10 teens catching up with 2 people is one thing, parent & child catching up is another. Like my grandfather always told me: "Fight the battles that are worth fighting."
  12. Meh, it's a picture of wood. Now if it was a dirt pile.......that would be significant.
  13. My kids would find a way to lose their number while standing bored in line. I suppose then they could not ride even though their mom & dad are standing right there too with the correct tickets? Then take into account water rides & adverse weather. Wet clothes can adversely effect what is in a pocket, provided the guest actually has clothes with pockets. System sounds great on paper, but I can see how it could be a logistical nightmare.
  14. We have had many frosty beverages, wine too. Security just reminded us the beer/ wine stayed at the car.Even at BGW years ago we had Bud Light, security made the point to tell us that if it was Miller Lite we would have to dump them. It was a good laugh. Segways at one time were allowed at Epcot & a tour is still allowed on Disney property: http://blog.touringplans.com/2013/02/15/epcot-segway-tours-cancelled/
  15. Disney cracks me up. Go ahead & purchase (for big $$) a character costume in the park, but nope, you can't wear it. The cooler policy is (rather always has) interesting to me as the article does not mention coolers in cars. Many guests travel considerable miles. How can the park regulate coolers in cars? We have always brought a cooler, with food & drink, and had parking lot lunches. A few times security has questioned us, but never threatened removal.
  16. Not sure I can blame CF for this one as they did not own KI when the ride was built. Many of the effects on BLSC did not operate under the Paramount name nor did many effects on other "themed" rides. CF may have the reputation of letting the small things go, but I can give them a pass on the theming under the previous ownership. If Paramount built things on the cheap side, the cost of repairs may be too great.
  17. Two sides to every story eh? Let me guess how it went down: Animal family was ****ed because they could not bring weapons into the park. Caused a scene at main gate even after putting knives in car at which point they were given the traditional: "stop your actions or you will not be allowed into the park." After hearing this, the animals escalated the situation for this end result. Of course their story will be: Cops don't like us & just wanted to arrest us. Because it just makes perfect sense for security at a family park to be looking for incidents like this to happen. *smh*
  18. Like it or not, they are doing their job. Put yourself in a victim's shoes: if you were somehow wronged, victim of theft, or assaulted you would want security to do EVERYTHING in their power to catch the perp. For whatever reason you matched the description. Be satisfied someone did call you back with an apology. They had no reason to do it, yet still did. After all the stories of: thefts from lockers, line jumping, smoking in line, and just the unique jackass looking for a fight, it is a breath of fresh air knowing park security IS around. It should also be mentioned- kudos to you for following security's direction. Many would not.
  19. This really ****es me off. My story of stepping in dog poo got bumped for this?? I even had a picture.......
  20. ^ Not sure how you came up with that scenario(s) but that is not even close to what I meant, hence the bank reference you conveniently left out in the quote. Adding security measures may help prevent theft (i.e. the electronic combinations already used, the cameras already in place, or park security already in place), but in no way can it be eliminated. As far as making it more work to prevent theft, take a look on how hard car manufacturers have combated auto theft or credit card companies have tried to prevent fraud or even how casinos using facial recognition. KI could spend huge amounts of money and still have these thefts take place only to still look back in hindsight: "Why didn't KI do this: (insert idea here)." Aside from my obvious statements, it is sad that we have to even discuss this. In a perfect World, we go to KI to get a break from everyday life, but the truth is we cannot expect any park to eliminate the realities of today's society. Example of theft from locker at Universal: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g34515-d102432-r151566624-Universal_Studios_Florida-Orlando_Florida.html
