What KI coaster have you ridden the most times?
teenageninja replied to mccarthysnerd's topic in KI Polls
Vortex - Probably over 1000. -
From what I hear, this program has been a success. I do think it speaks to the success that it has not been implemented elsewhere though.
-
Now we are just comparing apples to oranges. If you think Cedar Point is going to put you up in a hotel for gracing them with your presence you are crazy. If you don't want to go to other parks, don't buy a PP and buy a GP.
-
Logical, no, but KI and CP aren't exactly built right next to eachother either. Aside from enthusiasts, there aren't many people who would be able to tell the difference between MaxAir and Delirium. If we got a Screamin Swing, I doubt a majority of the parks visitors would gripe "Oh man, that's a good ride, but they have it at Cedar Point." All this aside, I don't think we'll be swinging in that direction next year.
-
^^^ I disagree, I still think it would take quite a few months to put together an Impulse, the main time saver would be in ground clearing. ^^ I have heard a rumor about DA being expanded, but aside from that I wouldn't expect any other work in that corner of the park next year, they just added a new ride and another attraction. Just think CW is getting a big coaster next year, CF does have to make money every year, don't look too big for next year. Demolition costs could be a big part of next year too if they ever decide the fate of SoB.

KI for years has wavered on and off about greeters at their entrances and line splitters. Cedar Point, I've noticed, does a very good job by having their line splitters before the station, keeping it from getting too out of control up there. The only issue I've had is Magnum's awkwardly shaped station. The benefit is that it keeps seat 1-3 line non existant.

I'm telling you, you guys are going down the wrong path. You are definitely setting yourself up for disappointment. What did KI get for their 30th? Oh wait, TR:TR and look how well that panned out...
-
Also, I should mention that I know an employee who was gathering cans to recycle at one point and was never told to stop.
-
Visually it is a problem. It gives the park a negative image in my opinion.
-
Actually KI pays to recycle. From my understanding they make their money off of recycled cardboard and that essentially covers the dumpsters and recycling bins around the park.

Screechin Eagle demolished
teenageninja replied to jandyb79's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
What a sad day. The Screechin Eagle was probably my favorite wooden roller coaster. Any ride that gives you a feeling that you aren't 100% safe is way more of a rush, and that is exactly what the SE did.- 23 replies

Dinosaurs To Roam At Cedar Point?
teenageninja replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I highly doubt the Point will be the only other park adding DA next year. -
They won't pull someone off the ride unless they absolutely have to, they'd rather have security waiting for them in the exit.

Some people would think a 40th Anniversary would be a big Holiday. I wouldn't get too excited, even if it's not what you want, it's not the end of the World. -The Ninja, who may be trying his best to be Terpy tonight.

New at Holiday World for 2012
teenageninja replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Seems like a lot of people here are very anti-cipointed. I wouldn't get your hopes back up for anything else in the near future either. -
That is the motion they are supposed to repeat. They have a set scanning schedule at every pool area including the wave pool. It allows them to see every inch of the area so that no one could possibly be up against a wall drowning.

Canada's Wonderland 2012
teenageninja replied to Beast1979's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just remember, CW got Beheamoth one year before. Could be a trend? -
Would be a lot easier if they had air conditioning previously.

I am referring to Paramount who installed that separate entrance when Boomerang Bay opened. I understand your argument about the separate season pass entrance, but I am fairly sure that the waterpark will have it's own admission in the next couple of years.
-
It's spelled Maserati.
-
There are definitely some changes coming to the Haunt this year, that is for sure. As far as the Waterpark, you don't think they really built a separate entrance just for the use of pass holders do you? I see the waterpark going upcharge a lot sooner than some people would expect.

If you are trying to maximize your day, I would suggest starting off (after ERT) at Firehawk and Flight of Fear. After that, you should be able to get on everything in a pretty timely manner. As a general rule Diamondback's line is typically longer in the morning than it would be in the afternoon. Enjoy your trip.

Board shorts would be good if you are planning on doing water rides. Sandals are a good toughness test. It's pretty hard to walk around all day in sandals, but like I said, if you are planning on doing water rides, probably a safer bet. Either that or bring a change of shoes.

The pit area on I-Street in front of thrill seekers is gone. Repainted trash can lids in Action Zone. New food stand on I-Street replacing Keyhole.
