  1. Urgent Scare was solely in Side B from what I understand. I think it might have possibly gone through the drive box, but couldn't really tell. I am sure that for it's low rider ship, and fairly low capacity they decided not to run Sponge Bob for the 6th year in a row.
  2. I'm sure the park has looked into that by now, especially with how many Geese used to populate that lake.
  3. Wow, I can't believe I didn't hear about this... I hated working that ride, but I loved it so much at the same time. I still remember pretty much the entire dialogue.
  4. 5000 spots? I'd say closer to 15,000 personally. Also, Vortex is not going anywhere, I'd kill them if they took my baby!
  5. Well considering there is no such thing as a Smurfberry...
  6. Looks like they are building an entrance building right next to Wings. Also, you can see the exit path running into the old mining company building. I completely forgot about those contraptions that run along the track Shaggy, thanks for the reminder.
  7. Probably an employee entrance/exit and a maintainence entrance.
  8. I'm pretty sure on Millennium Force's pull through they only used one car. Basically they pull the ride along the track, and usually have some sort of plywood fixture to test clearances. Not sure if KI will do the same or do it at all.
  9. The pull through should be happening any time now, I'd say within the next two weeks, with testing beginning early March, from what I've heard.
  10. I'd say 4 hours would be an upper limit. It just depends on the day though. Not to mention that the crew is probably all top notch at least for now. I have faith the wait will go by quickly with that people eater.
  11. From a ride op stand point, it's fun to change things up and hope people have a good sense of humor. The job does get tedious though, that's why people do fun things like that. I'm glad to see this ride auction is generating a lot of money for A Kid Again, it's a great organization.
  12. I would pay 50.00 in fact I even thought about it, but with how bad the economy is and being a college student, that isn't really something I could invest in. Luckily my fraternity raises money for Make A Wish. Plus, I may have other obligations that Saturday morning....
  13. Everyone is blowing the webcam out of proportion. Are you aware how long the park was without the webcam? I'm sure you'd rather be safe riding the elevator on Tower then see a webcam for a day of probably no activity. I'm assuming that's why towers power would be off anyways.
  14. His phone is probably ringing off the hook, god forbid he get the rest of his work done...
  15. I'd like to see a nice mix of rocks and grass over there. Not a luscious lagoon, but more of like a western pond. Looking great though, I must say.
  16. If I'm not working, I may attend some of the events... but working where is the question...
  17. I run into forum members all the time, just not at the park. I've had class with DeLorean Rider for example.
  18. Looks like the artistic rendering is going to be right about the splashdown, I see some big rocks moving that way.
  19. Diamondback whizzing over the midways.
  20. Compressed air also has more problems than the hydraulics from what I hear. 0-120 in 4.2 is plenty quick enough for me. Also, Dodonpa goes 0-107 in 1.8 seconds. I like the long drawn out acceleration on Top Thrill, I haven't ridden compressed air, so I can't give my take, but I would imagine the hydraulics are more reliable too (just from and engineering standpoint).
  21. Does it matter what it enters under? It's going to enter under the ride, and put you in the middle of the action LITERALLY. I love how Cedar Point has most of their queues inside of the "ride area" see Millie, Iron Dragon, Raptor, Mantis, etc. I think it will come behind the back and under the ready breaks right before the station, but I'm not really sure.
  22. I'd imagine on a week day Diamondbacks line will be on the 1 hour to 90 minutes range. Depending on the crew. Saturdays about 2 to 2.5 hours. Sundays are a wildcard.
  23. Interesting... I'm surprised they are allowing people to bypass the exit path.
