  1. It could also be the track storage area for when the track starts arriving. That is what I was thinking when I saw it.
  2. There is no way those apartments are 1200 a month per person. I could see 1200 for the summer, with utilities would be pretty fair. To put my spin on this. I live at UC and I live in a dorm style house within the Stratford Heights community down there (which has terrible management, but that's not the point), but a shared double room within the house is 465 a month per person. That is about the going rate for the dorms as well, so they are probably saving money. Cabs in Cincinnati are what were stated above, a nominal charge (usually 3.60 for a group of 4) + 1.60 a mile. If they wanted to go downtown they could ride the cab to a bus stop, get on the bus and ride the cab back. There are a few stops that run from West Chester/ Mason downtown every day of the week. This seems to be a case of disgruntled workers attacking the tyrant. Housing contracts get changed, people get moved (I just had to move with 5 days notice this past week) and guess what, I wasn't happy about it either. Things could be worse for them, they just needed to ask questions to someone (I'm sure someone in their department knows how they could get downtown, there is a stop that runs downtown from KIs turn around by the way. Also, if they think they are going to get paid more than everyone else because they are from another country, they are crazy. If they wanted a real American Amusement park experience for working, they should have went to Cedar Point, with a proven International working program already. /rant off.
  3. The new launch off area is near Beast. If you look at KIs layout there is not really anywhere they could shoot off fireworks without the threat of burning one of the wooden coasters. This was probably the best decision, plus it allows people to ride later, which in my opinion is never a bad thing.
  4. I doubt it, it hasn't been used since I can remember. It was most recently a Laser Tag arena. Now it serves as a storage room for Games I believe.
  5. Maybe it's a hyper with a 90 degree drop?
  6. Its true, gas prices are killing our economy. The good thing is I drive a highly fuel efficient car (Chevrolet Metro) so gas isn't killing me... yet.
  7. Chipotle is a terrible idea at KI. They need more original food as it is. Plus Chipotle is terrible for you, depending on what you put on it of course. The bols aren't too bad.
  8. Fireworks are done on nights the park at closes at 10 PM or later, except 4th of July. The fireworks will start when the park closes.
  9. Phill, Is this going to be something that is open all the time or only during events? Also, is it going to be free or cost a small amount?
  10. OMFG, Cedar Fair sucks, The Bat/Demon doesn't even move, thank god they don't theme their rides. GIANT VALLEY? SWEET!!!!oneoenoenoneoennoenoeoenoeon1111!
  11. You guys are full of horse.... sheet.
  12. I'm not really sure how they would be able to tell if you were a ticket holder for that or not. I'm pretty sure they just hand stamp everyone on the way out if they'd like to re enter.
  13. Brakes are in the closed position by default, therefore this is not an issue. The air hose being disconnected would just cause the breaks to close, therefore presenting no problem.
  14. I just received a voice mail from an extremely unenthusiastic and drugged out Robbie Kinevil reminding me to purchase my gold pass and to enjoy the festivities this weekend. Keep your phone lines open for this waste of time.
  15. Sad but true, with americans being so lazy (typically) something was probably just ignored and resulted in this failure. Luckily it's a smaller ride and doesn't have the potential energy to injure people even more.
  16. Highly unlikely that they would fabricate the track in the US and ship it over seas. I would imagine that B&M would have track for overseas project fabricated overseas, especially with the high cost of fuel.
  17. It almost has to be a Paramount project. It takes several years to plan a ride especially of the scale that it seems to be taking on. I would imagine planning for this ride started back in mid '06 early '07.
  18. The sequence in which they would build a splash down would not be very important. A splash down does not mean a dive machine either. I really don't think we're getting a diver personally.
  19. The K-Base sign was there for opening day, do not know where it went.

    eek! Top gun!

The reason the train slows down is because the next train has not fully entered the station. It's a blocking issue.
  21. I would imagine it's as much as you can get in in one hour with at least one guaranteed. Sounds like fun, KI should look into a package like this for the project.
  22. This is probably going to "disappear" soon, but it seems as though this is some sort of hyper track. I agree it looks to small to be Dive Machine track, and doesn't seem to fit a flyer, especially with that top of the lift section. Hopefully this is heading around the 275 loop.
  23. If you are honestly dumb enough to trip over a human being, then you shouldn't be on top of the Eiffel Tower anyways. I highly doubt someone tripping would be any hazard either, it's a full cage, and you aren't going to fall through the floor.
  24. The maximum wind speed the Eiffel Tower at KI can take is 375.4 MPH.
  25. Apparently Kings Island is building a 1500 foot roller coaster, that's what my friend chad said. Oh yeah it also goes 300 miles an hour.
