  1. Where exactly is this on Tylersville, there is so much stuff popping up up there that it's hard to figure out.
  2. I would prefer Pepsi at the park, but I don't really drink pop very often, so it doesn't matter much to me.
  3. My friend Chad and I may come, he said he wanted to, his first time at an amusement park was last HH. He then proceded to purchase a 2008 Platinum Pass.
  4. Honestly I don't think much would change my opinion of the ride. It's a solid ride, the theming is getting old, I think bringing it outside would be pretty cool, especially if they left the tunnels covered.
  5. The ride names changing is not a big deal, but turning both sides of The Racer forwards would really stink, not going to change my opinion on the park though.
  6. Sounds like a much needed improvement, but what it really needed is a light at the North entrance, so people coming from 71-S can make that turn without having to cross two busy lanes of traffic.
  7. Krazy City's rides are all better than Wonderpark's though.
  8. At Kings Island, they use clickers on flat rides, and on roller coasters, the consoles have a button to count empty seats. These are all recorded hourly on a sheet and submitted at the end of the night. I'm sure there is error every day, but it's a pretty good estimate.
  9. Every stand that serves fountain drinks has water, and it's free, I have never been turned down for free water at KI or CP.
  10. They aren't forcing you to buy anything, every stand in the park gives out free ice water, much like KI, and it tastes much better than the fountains too.
  11. I'm not sure what the real surprise here is, 3 of the 5 rides mentioned, we have and were renamed to the same thing. Time Warp and Riptide are names they already have used/use currently.
  12. Chase, they aren't going to bend the rules on that. There are strict OSHA standard adhering to some of the work that maintainence does.
  13. BB should definitely not be torn down, what am I to do on a hot day when I want to meet some girls? Hah, joking aside, I think KI has enough workable land to build 2-3 good coasters without even thinking about to shrink BB, if anything it needs to be expanded again.
  14. You should probably pay attention in class, beings as you can not spell common words such as school, posting, and dumb. Are these lap tops so old that they do not have spell check? However, to actually make this post worth while, I strongly doubt that Dubai would build a "Paris Tower". Much of their architecture there is ground breaking, new, and very unique. I, honestly, don't see another "Paris Tower" being built, it was ground breaking when KI/KD did it, not so much anymore.
  15. Yes and the employee cafeteria is being turned into a Sams Club, I hope the employees enjoy their 5 pounds of french fries for $3.68
  16. I think the key here is in smaller children attendance. I thoroughly believe that KI's attendance is made up of a lot more smaller children then Cedar Point. The key point being Nick Universe vs Cedar Point's areas. Kings Island's children area is always packed to the gills, where as I have seen packed and empty from Cedar Point. I wonder if that is relevant at all.

    Rumor

You need to site your reference. I heard it was a Target Supercenter, The Phantom told me
  18. I believe the motor is up there.
  19. I'm guessing Flight Deck will change to Afterburner much like at GA.
  20. I totally agree with Adam, best job I have ever had, hands down, without a doubt. I was going to attempt to go back for pre-season up until June, beings as my co-op starts in June. I strongly recommend any job at KI, including food.
  21. For the love of god, I hope so. Flight Deck is almost as bad as Suspended Roller Coaster-1 in RCT. Afterburn is a much better, and stronger name.
  22. The only problem I have with the names is that they aren't very marketable, especially from a merch point of view. Cedar Point's old Fear the Five shirt was a great shirt, Raptor, Mantis, Magnum, Millie, and Dragster? Awesome. If KI were to do something like that it would be Beast, SoB, Vortex, Flight Deck, and Backlot Stunt Coaster, not as powerful.
  23. I'm hoping we get a good page, the old Paramount pages were just not that great looking. I'm pretty excited about the new webpage, the names on the other hand leave some room to be desired.
  24. Brian Dean is the former KI manager at Krazy City. I actually saw Brian and talked with him a little while I was visiting on Saturday. I had a blast, well worth the 12 dollars I spent. Krazy City Speedway: I had noticed that car one seemed much faster than the others, so being first in line I snatched it. The cars were fun to drive, and I was having a lot of fun drifting around the corners. I'm pretty sure the rule said no sliding, but I decided to test the leniency of the rule. The track probably could have been a little bigger though, still fun. Rating 7/10 Skyscraper: This was the first ride I noticed walking into the place. This ride spins around incredibly fast, not to mention the height requirement is 60 inches! This ride was way more intense than I thought it would be, severely under-estimated this ride. Rating 9/10 Tornado: I had ridden one of these rides at the Butler County Fair about 5 years ago and I remembered it being a big let down. This time, my friend Jon and I were able to spin the car while it spun. His girlfriend Emily has an on-ride video of it on Facebook, if you know my real name. Regardless, we had the car spinning obnoxiously fast, and it ended up being quite enjoyable. Rating 7/10 My experience at Krazy City was very positive, especially since they had just opened this week. The staff was knowledgeable, and friendly all around. It seems like they have a little room to play around with, so I can only see this place getting better. Overall 8/10!
  25. I think that people should find another hobby other than roller coasters on New Years, it's supposed to be a celebration, not what you do most of the summer.
