  1. What is this college you speak of? Anyways, I'll do the same thing I did all season, because I only went twice, both times over the weekend of the 19th.
  2. I have heard this same rumor and I am leaning more towards it. I don't care if it goes near Beast, over Beast, or under Beast, we need a big name steel coaster, besides the love of my life Vortex .
  3. Of course ron toomer was lazy, there are un-necessary straightaways on Vortex, especially in the high turn before the double loops. That is the only part of the ride I don't love.
  4. I've been wanting to ride a S&S Skyswatter, but beings as the one I know of in the US was moved from Astroworld to Six Flags New England, and is now being removed from SFNE, I don't like it's chances. Chaos has been a hassle for Cedar Fair, I believe they had two seperate instances with that ride that were made public about injuries, so I doubt that. Hopefully we get some flats from GL.
  5. From what I hear 2009 will not be a wood coaster, if the rumors are true. Things can change by then though. I hope for 2008 we get some of the flats from GL, we need them bad.
  6. Rode it Friday night and found it to be a lot more enjoyable, I actually got some air on the drop for the first time ever. The rose bowl was rough, but it always will be. I can say I finally enjoy the ride, the decreased capacity sucks though for sure.
  7. Better do it before 7, otherwise your not getting back in.
  8. Do not speak of Dracula's Haunted Castle. That ride was horrendous, I almost got my rear beat while I was working there because the line was all the way back to Zephyr and it was so horrible. We would actually have to rock paper scissor to see who would have to stay in the theater and watch the show.
  9. Cedar Fair may sell KI as a whole, but not tear out rides and sell land, here are some reasons why. 1) KI has had higher seasonal attendance than CP a few times that I can remember. 2) Golden Tickets 3) Proximity (relative to the whole country.)
  10. Definitely do not want that piece of crap Villain in my park. It is probably one of the worst coasters I have ever ridden. The trains can stay, don't know on what though.
  11. KI raises ticket prices nearly every year anyways, or at least so it seems. It won't matter to me I'm getting a pass, much like always.
  12. SoB has not been stuck upside down in the loop, trust me. As far as rides, I would add a family coaster in Nick U, like a spinning mouse, maybe themed, maybe not. I would then put a flat package in X-Base/Coney and a Ferris Wheel somewhere.
  13. I disagree. Wicked Twister is still great, the launch is just as intense, and it offers two unique experiences in the front and back. Voodoo/Superman:Ultimate Escape/Steel Venom is unique because of the holding break. Ride in the front seat on the ride when the holding break is working and tell me it isn't the scariest thing you've done in an amusement park, besides maybe Deja Vu.
  14. Woofer, you should probably know all of the facts about the restaurant before throwing a fit. There is in fact an elevator in the backstage area that goes up to the IR. I am sure the park is willing to accomodate people to walk them around the corner so they can get up to the elevator. I do see them adding an elevator and reopening the restaurant next year, way too profitable to leave closed.
  15. ^ If you were smart you would save Saturday for football j/k I'm going the 19th, I heard Friday is better, and it works out better for me.
  16. Honestly I can say for sure that will not happen. Number 1 KI is a family park and CP is a thrill park. Number 2, Kinzel loves the way KI is, but said it needs some more thrills, which is very true. I wouldn't be surprised if they started running an Ohio bus charter, so more people could enjoy CP from the Cincinnati area. I wouldn't keep Rivertown out of the picture for an expansion either.
  17. Yeah, I hate cops too, they do nothing but make the world worse. Tool.
  18. It would be nice, but I would see them moving Congo to another area of the park before removing it. CF has a knack for keeping water rides in the same area, so people can wear water attire in one section of the park, where as at KI they would have to walk across the park.
  19. Kings Island is doing what I think they should, recommending. In our newer more liberal society, parents are allowing their children to see/do things that parents back in the 60s, 70s, and 80s would not even think of doing. If parents want to allow their children to see some of the things at HH that may be for a more mature audience then that's the parents problem, KI has made the recomendation, they have better things to do then play parent.
  20. I'm glad they closed the park, while it was nice and I had a good time, there just weren't enough people to warrant it staying open.
  21. Would not surprise me one bit for CF to send some of the flats down here. They have a pretty good collection. Texas Tornado for the win.
  22. Totally fair, that is the way it is done at KI for the most part. I understand the severity of the situation as my cousin is autistic, but this is the best fix to make everyone happy.
  23. I'm going platinum, I'll go to KI next summer beings as I will be able to afford it. I will take my usual trip to CP next summer, that's another 70 bucks plus 2 days parking theres 90. I might as well be the big spender.
