Ok, Ill admit it..... Ohio drivers cant drive at all, so I stay out of that state as much as possible. Now granted Im living in Texas till like Mayish, I really dont have a reason to go to Ohio. BTW all Ohioians, Texas drivers are ALMOST as bad as you guys. Almost.

Wow, jumping to conclusions and you havent seen anything yet. Be patient people. PKI may let us down every once in awhile, but at least give em a chance!

Dude, my vote goes with maintenance. Just think, without us, there is no theme park... Oh yeah, Wichita Falls, Texas sucks.

But at those parks, the winter rehab is probabily staggered, not all at once. Its gonna be a tight offseason, thankfully I will be on my "vacation"

Actually its a vendor, not under PKI direct control. So they can technically do whatever they want with their hours and such.

Ok Lance, you are new so let me step ya through how the park thinks about employees posting what we know: If you know anything, DONT POST. The last comment is what I was referring to. If you do work at the park, you signed a confidentiality statement saying that the park has to release any information, and if you know something, you have to keep your mouth shut. Im not trying to repremand you, just save you the trouble of finding another job. Trust me, the park frowns heavily on those who dont hold their fingers.

Ryan, yes they have a dance routine. I watched them do it countless times during practice and the actual parade. Kat, You are a moron for posting what you do post. I bet you are a great person in real life, but will you please ease up? Its almost like talking to a 3 year old sometimes. Also, next time you watch the parade, do two things: 1) wear a watch and 2) open your eyes. P.S. Nice pic of you in Rivertown. As for the sound, most problems have been fixed. Ringmaster, How many Disney parks are around PKI? Good answer, none. PKI has its niche in the Ohio region, not in the Florida region. So comparing the two parades is like comparing apples to oranges during a grape competition. And I would also like to ask if you you were the origonal designer on those rides you mentioned. No? Theres a shocker. Now, how do you know that the park downgraded the rides? Oh, my bad. Its just to make you angry. Where else can you ride a Huss Giant Topspin? Where else can you do all the stuff IJ does? (dont feel like listing it). The reason that these rides break down is because it IS new technology. New technology= new hurdles. New hurdles=new bugs in the system. These bugs take time to get rid of. All in all, this is a rant I know. But if someone doesnt say it, I will start to hurt people, so I said it. One thing I hate are hypocrits, especially ones who bash the place they work at in a public forum.

Ok, Ive offically gone stupid. Is it just me, or is this way of thinking just a little bit too far off the deep end for news-deprived people?

What really annoys me (as a worker) the most is seeing people who are staying to ride rides after a shift with their hats on crooked, shirts over their shoulder, and smoking. TAKE OFF THE UNIFORM! Another good one that goes along with the top comment was what I saw a month or so ago. Girl had her hat crooked, shirt over her shoulder, in nothing but a bra up top. I wanted to smack her.

If I remember correctly, back when KI had the monorail, that entire area was considered a nature preserve. Once that was removed, the preserve was downgraded to what it is now. Basically KI's way of getting a tax break or 10.

The 3 mil was just for SUPPORT BUILDINGS/STRUCTURE. Therefor, thats not the total dollar amount. The .9 acres is a nature preserve. And the building is the launch point for the fireworks, and was the barn for the elephants. The park tore down the building and left the pad. So now its referred to as the Elephant Pad.

Nope, they dont just come out and tell us. They make us find our own sources of information.

Regardless of the ride, think businesslike. What is more cost-effective, having guys come out and fixing it, or having your own guys fix it?

Ben, no offense, but if you are willing to wait 3 hrs for TTD, a 15 SECOND RIDE! over an hr wait for a 1+ minute ride, you are a fool. I dont mean to offend you, but comeon dude, use your head! I dont care if you have to wear space suits to ride it, there is no way in hell I am waiting 3 hrs or even 1 hr for something that runs for 15 seconds and then tries to pass for a decent ride. PS. the next time you go to post about ride times, dont quote the one you are going to bash as being too short when you want to wait longer for one of the worlds shortest coasters.

After going to Stricker's Grove and seeing how their ops handle themselves compared to ours, I feel a lot safer about going to big parks over smaller onces. If the ops are that bad, who knows how maintenance handles themselves...
