  1. Ive been to WW once out of its entire existence, and even then I was in my uniform pants so I couldnt do any of the slides.
  2. Another hint he had was that "Next year your favorite rides wont seem the same." Aaron, you should have at least put up the pic of me standing in front of the section of tubing just to show how tall it was. I got one (in development stages now) of Pat standing in front of it. Its kinda funny.
  3. I would think that if one team has more players and the other team is lacking, then those who belong to both sites would go to the team that is lacking. Just a thought though.
  4. Train is considered to be, IMHO, a transportation ride. the majority of people who take the train are people who are getting off at BB. Yes, train is a good ride to work on if you want a relaxing atmosphere. The only time it really gets stressful is during the peak BB operating season. But overall, the ride is fun to work, especially if you are back conductor or front conductor. It is the only ride in the entire park that you get to ride while working. O and Shaggy, thanks for reminding me about Tower 3. I was sent there a couple times, and its a blast:)
  5. Just in the last year, wasnt that corner of the park re-paired like 3-4 times? Started as Vortex/AFXT and Troika/eurobungy Then to FX/eurobungy and Vortex/troika Back to Vortex/FX and Troika/eurobungy and finally ended like all four of them were together cause so many people were trained on all 4 rides that it really didnt matter.
  6. Hey, every ride has its downpoints. But if you concentrate on what is good about the ride, then you will really have fun. I have mastered this concept. If I didnt have fun, I wouldnt come back. Easy as that. Or I switch crews. Oh, and then you havent seen me working Biplanes or Handcars in HB.
  7. My favorite ride to work has to be TRTR. There is never a dull moment, from the guests to your crew to the ride, never a dull moment. Runners up: 2)Train 3)Beast
  8. Beast was paired with Eagles, and Shake rattle and roll was paired with Vortex.
  9. At the end of last season, it was that every major flat ride and coaster in the park had to have one person who was over 18 in charge. Trust me, there were many a day that I had to go to Beast due to their young (but loveable) crew only having one 18+ year old on it and I was in charge. Nothing like being in charge of a ride that is not even your homeride!
  10. What does it matter what crew finished last? I mean comeon, every crew was good in its own respect. Some were more rounded than others, and some were one dimensional when it came to what they were good at. Lets not worry about last. And it was Racer.
  11. To be a Ride op, you must be at least 16. If you want to become a supervisor, or left in charge of a coaster (or major flat), you must be 18. I wasnt too clear on what age you had to be to become a Certified Trainer (CT as we call it), so Im not even going to guess.
  12. I was stating that SOB/Gun got their eighth flag on the last day. And I was wrong, now that I think about it, Delirium was first to 8, because I remember you guys having one more than the TRC, and then when me and another girl were mentioned in the second audits, we got the tie when you guys got your 8th. So we got two flags on the second audits and you guys got one, so I guess we both hit it at the same time. new competition next year though.
  13. TRTR was the first crew to 8, and then Delirium, and SOB/Gun got their eighth flag the last day. I would just like to say that every crew, wether they had one flag or eight, did a fabulous job keeping guests safe, and if I worked with your crew, it was a pleasure working with you.
  14. Thats right, my ride is good for something!!!!! In all seriousness, I do love riding TRTR as much as I enjoy working it.
  15. On BAFFD, the extra cars were not being allowed into employee parking. They were bussing people over from the ATP courts, and the busses (which I was almost hit by one) was taking the employee parking lot entrance road.
  16. Thats why The Beast (and Tom) parties are so legendary.
  17. Boddah, while I do not know your job, we have to form a very intimate relationship with every person we have on our crew (nonsexual your perverts) or else things start to fall apart. I have had jobs where I was with the same people for a couple of years, but still, the level of caring between people there and at my PKI crew are completely different. Its hard to describe, just something you have to experience.
  18. Chef, I will personally ride whatever my first ride is 3 extra times: once for you, once for your wife, and once for you little kid. An early congrats to you!
  19. But you also have to understand why we defend our crews like we do: Think about it: we are with the same people for almost nine months. We get to know them as a second family. If someone insults your family, dont you get ****ed off too? None of us really tries to take it personally, but it just happens. Just to point something out: if someone doesnt check a lapbar, shouldnt you report it to someone? Just a thought.
  20. No, whats pointless is seeing people hitting the change down from there while the queue is full, and then get mad when you eject them from the line. Not to mention the 300 more people who do it after that guy...
  21. Best day: The day I found out that one of my sups got promoted to head sup at Beast. That same day they put me in charge of TRTR, and nothing bad happened the entire day. Worst day: Back in 2002, when ride ops could sign up for different rides for FearFest, I signed up for TRTR one night. I had to meet someone at the park at 815 AM, then work all day at SOB, until roughly 730. Then, I went to TRTR where there was one driver, one bar checker, and the only Certified Trainer was a sup who was leaving, but happened to stay to train some people. I got trained to check bars and had to check them the entire night. FearFest closed at 1 AM, we got done cycling people through at 3. Then I had to get up to the park for an open at 915. I slept in my car. Honorable mention: The day that the TRC stole some cleaning supplies from Beast, and had them go through a series of questions throughout the day to get them back. We gave them GPS coordinates to their stuff, and it took em about 3 hrs to figure out that the drivebox at TRTR is actually 1001 Ft above sea level. It was quite funny. Honorable mention (bad experience): When staffing goofed up big time and left me as the only Certified trainer and driver for an entire day. 930AM-11PM in a small box with very few breaks will take it outta ya, especially when you have to train people from up there.
  22. Doesnt PKI announce the new characters in the spring before the park opens?
  23. Losing Streak, If you are an employee of PKI, and know of anything that is going to happen, you cannot tell. That emplies also after you are fired/you quit. So unless you wanna get in some serious trouble, keep your trap shut. According to the rules of seasonal workers, you would have to fire then rehire the workers in about a weeks time. This includes getting new minor permits and background checks. It would be (if they brought it back) a scheduling nightmare.
  24. Last year, The Beast crew swepted all that up, and it filled a garbage can that you see under desks. It was quite impressive.
  25. Hi, my name is Tom, and Im a PKI-aholic. This will be my third season, and I am hooked on PKI. I have spent many a nights in Bdubs talking about PKI, and many more nights at Waffle House doing the same. I am so addicted to PKI that I am not afraid to work the All Day shift on BAFFD, leave at two in the morning, and then stop by Whities and Walgreens to pick up a twelve pack of Dew, and then sit in a parking lot until 4 in the morning with a couple of friends. Add this to my list of things I need help with.
