The Delirium isnt supposed to be ready until 2005-06, so doubt that.

Me? It would change my life big time. For one, Coney Island would be MUCH bigger due to the increased flow of people, it would probabily have a few more coasters, and I would be out of a job. So I would work at Coney, which is closer, but I like pKI better.

Hmmm, I dont think Im supposed to talk about the stupid things Ive done while at the park!!
-
I remember seeing a "stack" of sorts of these arms, where there were multiple levels. Thats one way to increase capasity without adding space.

As for the lines on the rides for FearFest, last season TRTR was pretty much walk on. We were letting people skip antechamber and go straight to preshow (the movie room). The last day, the park closed at 1, and we got done cycling people through the ride about 2:30. Thatwas the longeest day I have ever worked. Close to 20 hrs in one day.

The origonal problem with IR was that you had to go and get dressed up to eat up there. It was too fancy, and people wouldnt go for that reason. I dont see it happening. If I remember correctly, ride certification is good for a full year, as long as during the mid-season mechanical audit, the park does well. At any time, the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture has every right to take the certification away. So having the rides run in December is possible. The problem is that once you get into maintenance cost to run the ride, it wouldnt work out. The park goer would have to pay more and more per ride opened, and eventually you would pay too much. There are ways to "force" a coaster to run, but it takes pretty much all night to get the bearings warm. I remember seeing heaters under the SOB trains the last day of the season to keep them warm.

Actually, that maintenance road above the entrance to TG is to lead to the steel coaster maintenance. The entrance to the monorail was up towards the front of Skyflier. Low ridership. Thats a big time reason why rides shut down. That coupled with another problem is why things are shut down.

HB is going to be closing at 7, and all rides should be open. At least, thats how they did scheduling this year for it. In the past, its been sign up to work whatever ride you want.

Whats nice is that I work in a tornado location Heres how I would imagine PKI doing a tornado: PA: Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please. At this time, the National Weather Service has alerted us to a tornado in the area of the park. We ask that you please seek shelter inside one of the shops, or ask an employee where the nearest tornado shelter is. Once again.....(repeats statement) Ride Ops: stop rides (if not doneso already), evacuate area, go to tornado location After tornado: Closed down damaged areas of park, make sure noone was hurt. From there on, its a tossup

I worked it last year, and hopefully I can "sneak" over to `Tiques to work it some. Get me into the outdoor atmosphere! Oh, and yes, I will be scaring you at TR if Im there. Be Prepared

Or maybe currently PKI has a big enough sewer capasity to hold it, but it wouldnt be enough if they added the newest attractions. Just a thought

Theres one person who I hope reads the last couple of posts (wont name names, but he runs "The most popular roller coaster site on the web" (BULL SH*T!)). Me and that certain person dont exactly see eye to eye. Now that I have the middle and end done, I cant start the book due to not being good at beginnnings of books. Release date TBA, but Jeff Siebert is a likely hero, isnt he?
-
That sounds even more cartoonish. Im actually going to write this book. Once its written, I will post a copy.

All I know is that during the concert, the radios were going nuts. Personally, when I was working Gun/SOB last year, the only good band taht was there was Lifehouse.
-
Jeff Siebert has said several times that TR is going to be exclusively for PKI.

Have the final showdown in the ruins of SFWOA, between Jeff Siebert (commander of the 1st PKI batallion), Craig Ross, and a bunch of wokers from PKI (Including myself) Vs. Daniel Keller and a bunch of workers from CP. The big finale will be when Keller and Ross go at it in hand to hand combat, and Keller gets nailed with a pice of a coaster after bouncing off a support (lets make it a Vekoma SLC shall we?). Any other ideas, bring em my way. I might write a book on this if I find time.

Ive had this idea for a show for awhile. Roller coasters are on the verge of extinsion. The designers of these great rides were all killed in the Great Purge of 2025. Only 20 stand in the world, based at PKI and CP. All of the sudden, the night is illuminated by several missles from CP aimed at PKI to cripple the park. As these missles are fired, several battallions of CP-raiders are air-lifted into the park, and the war for PKI is on... Im working on the ending, but really it would be a guerrila fighting movie, cause the PKI guys would know all the hiding spots, and could surprise the raiders. The hard-fought spots would be around Beast, TR, Delirium, and SOB. I have all the damage that the missles would cause figured out and everything. What do you think?

PKI wanted the ride to be shorter than The Beast so that The Beast would still hold the longest woodie record. Also, Im not saying that you shouldnt have freedom of speech, but why sit online and cry about it? PKI doesnt have the time to sit here and say "Oh wow, 20 people from this forum do not like how rough SOB is. Lets work harder on it." If you really want your voice heard (as miniscule as it is) go to GR. More will be accomplished that way than any other way. And what I meant about my last post was that its getting annoying to hear the same thing on multiple boards about one coaster. SOB is rough. Get over it. If you dont like it, get out of line and stay out of line. If it beats you up, boo hoo. You will live. Im just personally sick and tired of hearing people b*tch and moan whenever somethings not perfect up at PKI. Like the coaster thing. So we might not get one next year. Whoop-de-s*it. Wait another year. If you are going to not buy a pass due to no coaster, you are not a true PKI fan. Just quit b*tch*n whenever you dont get your way.

Ok, so let me get this straight. You get online saying that you had one bad ride on SOB, but you still like it. Im sorry, but thats nothing special. I get bad rides on a lot of rides, but I dont get online and preach about it. Just let the great wood coaster division at PKI do their trick. It just might take them a little longer than you would like. They will eventually get the job done.
-
I would just like to point out one thing here: a lot of people say that they rode last (insert month here) and didnt like it then, and that person rerode it (insert date here) and it was worse. If you didnt like it the first time, why did ya ride it again? It doesnt make sense to me. PKI knows whats wrong with the ride. By sitting here on now multiple boards saying how bad it is isnt making the ride any better. If you wish to express your opinion to the park, go to guest relations. But telling other people who have no connection to the park how bad it is doesnt fix anything.

Mr. Chef, I have also seen Mrs. Chef, and I can also attest that she is beautiful. You are one lucky guy. Well, Mr. Siebert has always had a slick mind about how to build up pretty much anything. Just give the Island some time, and you will know everything. PS. Awhile ago there was a bounty on a pic of Mr. Siebert working in his office, well I saw him working in there today! It was amazing! Unfortuneatly I didnt have a camera.

Okay, I know this is off topic but I have to say it before I yell at my computer: Solid Snake: STAY OUT OF THE PARK. I dont want your trash in a great place like PKI. You whine and moan because PKI isnt getting a coaster. Live with it. PKI knows exactly what the GENERAL PUBLIC wants from the park. Just because its not what you want doesnt mean that you just sit there and moan about it. Sorry now back on topic: I will find out if those are the surveys that they take in the park or not, but during last season one of my friends took a survey that was given to 25 people in the park about weither or not to put a wild mouse or Delirium into where Delirium is right now. You see the results.
-
Thats because TRTR has a really slow loading procedure. The Beast crew, IMHO, is one of the best in the park. But you still have to take the #1 ranking away from TR!
-
Ok, just for those who werent out in the storms I will recap: I was at Stricker's Grove, where tree limbs were blown down, heavy winds, lightening, and I saw several points of rotation in the clouds (for those of you who arent as meterology inclined: rotation in the clouds means that a tornado is forming, but not yet strong enough to form a funnel cloud). I believe that it was a smart decision to cancel the fireworks.

PKI has made no land mistakes, to this point. While they are not landlocked, the land that is back there is very hilly. It will cost a lot of money to either straighten it out, or to build bridges over the hills.
