Looks like they might have seen the storms as well and just bailed.
Focus please, Focus! Camera is out of focus!
-
I dont buy the 'the soil cant hold it' theory.
They have had the 3 arm ferris wheel and flight commander there.
Just wonder if they consider it not ride worthy spot since the
woman died on flight commander.
That is my only guess......
-
A question I still have is why did they not use the old filght commander site to put this up?
The old 3 wheel ferris wheel was there and it would be a great spot?
I know that originally drop zone was going there till they decided to move it and build Action Zone.
It would such a nicer out of the path place to put it. Give the same great view and such.
Anyone know a good reason? I know they have pay stuff there now but come on....
-

looks like the shoulder joints are being added to the ride!
Yeah was going to post that there is lots going on at the site now....
-
The ride is looking so good... but what is going on now with it? Why is it taking so long to finish it?
Has anyone else checked out CP web cam.... they are moving even slower lol.
Well they are not following the same path for building at CP.
They basically have the red topper done and the tower is only 1/3 done.
-
Lots of pieces of the carriage all around now. Let the fun begin!
-
I agree, it looks very nice. Wish they would do a Lost Coney section like Kennywood has with Lost Kennywood and bring back some great family flats.
So what do you think they are doing on the tower top today?
I was expecting to see the ride arms getting built now.
-
Now wondering if Mason Fire has to practice high rescue for this ride. Think there is a manual way to get ride unit down in an emergency case?
With DZ, release ride and let drop so no biggie. But what to do here. I mean there have been people stuck on top of DZ ride cylce. Also wonder
what wind speeds this can operate in. I know that is why they went with this model, but will they have non operation times for high wind?
-
So is the lift/spin mechanism in the core of the shaft or is it controlled from an outside motor?
-
I was thinking the same thing earlier when I saw those images of Canada`s Wonderland`s WindSeeker!
A flag is usually put up when they have the top piece in place or complete.
-
So did they just pour concrete or is that a sand base they put down for the pavers as the area leading up to WindSeeker?
-
I believe it's the platform at the top of the ride. You can see the railing that's visible in the renderings.
And it appears to be on its way up soon.
-
Yeah, once I read about going from inside I had an AHA moment.
As mentioned, not only do you install you must level it.
Imagine they have many levels inside or do you think they built those into each piece
so they could tweak each connection independently.
-
ok, they amazingly get the next piece in place but are they bolting them together yet or get a few done then go back and do that work.
I see no cranes with buckets so wondering. And if just connecting via eye from ground, these guys are REALLY good.
-
Ok, saw the next piece go over and attached.
Did not see workers connecting it.
So is it just locking into place or are they bolting them (hope so).
Just hard to see anyone on tower from that view.
-
Yes the crane was down awaiting a boom addition and probably bad weather to pass.
I see another piece there and awaiting placement.
I see a road perpendicular to The Racer behind it.
Is that and one that is also in the background part of KI roads?
-
Seems as they are in a lull in construction. Do they have more pieces on site or are they waiting arrival for those parts?
Wonder how much is done at the other parks and are these rides coming in/being built in a central location?
-
So first of all, will there be a movie running in the Action Theater this year and if so what?
Will it be Spongebob still or something Dinosaur related?
Also, how will you get to that area if it is used?
WindSeeker is right on top of that entrance/exit and just wonder how they will
keep the line for that and flow to the AT seperate.
-
This may have already been asked, but are they going to show us vertical construction or not?! I don't want to see just one part of the tower all the way until April 30.
Edit: D'oh! Just now saw that three posts above mine this was already explained....sorry!

WindSeeker Webcam2 on page but not active yet.
-
OK, so does this mean Action Theater is the movie that seems to go with it?
If so is that an upcharge as well.
-
This is looking more and more like a walk thru. Hopefully it will look as good as some of the pics people have posted lately. Not that this won't be "thrilling", especially for kids, I just wonder if there is more to it than a walk thru. Not necessarily a ride vehicle, but a year round haunt attraction. It could be done in a creepy atmosphere where you have to "survive" from being eaten. This is just a random thought. If i was a betting man, I would say its just a walk thru.
Look around, pre announcement made and yes a dino walk thru.
FYI, does anyone know if the Action Theater is in use for this year and if so what is showing?
-
What I think is most important is that people know about both. You don't have to be bludgeoned over the head with WindSeeker propoganda to know it exists. Those who want to ride it know that it's there. Just because the marketing doesn't focus soley and completely on one ride doesn't mean it isn't getting out there. Notice that every article about the mystery attraction notes that it is in addition to WindSeeker, a 301' tall swing ride that travels 30 mph... etc. etc.
Word is out there that WindSeeker is new, and I'm sure that the website will again highlight it once traffic starts arriving in response to tomorrow's announcement.
Well could this be a distraction/addtion to WindSeeker for those who are there waiting for others in line.
Some will ride WindSeeker and some will not so give them an alternative in that area.
Or do we see worse that this is a distraction (like reverse racers when Bat had issues)?
Would love to see something like old fashioned cars/dinosaur vehicles back again.

What day is the final operations of Kings Island?
Is it the 31st?
When would people meet for the final ride?
-
Outside some rides are signs that say count the signs, or something similar and report the answer to the attendant to get your points for prizes???? Anyone know anything about this?

Well never mind... It is pouring and they are all on camera. Guess since no lightning yet they will continue.
Nasty weather to work in.
