  1. Yeah, B&Ms don't break all the time. Intamins..... I'll let TTD and Kingda Ka speak for them!
  2. Any microphone is going to sound like crap when you practically put it in your mouth.
  3. Hmm... The overflow campground area is still there.
  4. I haven't seen that gate closed in at least three years, unless the line made it that far out.
  5. Even if they could get the footers done in time, it takes quite a while to dismantle a ride like that, ship it, do any necessary maintenance, then rebuild the ride and get all the systems installed. I'd say 2008.
  6. Good question. Too late now though, kingsisland.com has fallen to a cybersquatter.
  7. Wonderland Sydney was demolished last year. The former KI Zodiac was there, and it was sold to Sunway Lagoon Park in Malaysia where it has yet to be rebuilt. the ride was damaged during disassembly.
  8. This has got to be the earliest the PKI schedule has ever come out, last year it was february.
  9. NOF was 10-10 this year. 10-11 in 2005 I believe.
  10. Maybe they're not getting enough attendance on the first weekend to warrant being open.
  11. Were you by chance sitting under the front gate at about 10:15 PM when the scareactors were having fun picking up and slamming signs on the ground? I think I may have seen you when I was over taking a photo of the casket by the steps to the International Restaurant.
  12. That alert only says the outdoor ones, so the indoor ones should still be in operation, along with whatever rides can safely run. Should be a pretty slow night.
  13. Radd is one of the ASO "Contributers" that goes around the net plugging their site.
  14. Thats technically not a lift, that's a booster for cold weather. They had to add it after train modifications made them heavier.
  15. Probably wouldn't hurt to call the park and ask about the operating hours of the pass center. 1-800-288-0808
  16. I think behind Boomerang Bay could be a good place for a campground, but connecting it to the main park would be a problem, unless they built a park entrance gate back there.
  17. I noticed this too. Do they have rollback spikes at the top to prevent the train from rolling back down the helix? Nope, in the event of a rollback, it will come to a stop in the launch track. It's lined with brakes for just that reason.
  18. He said that one of the trains was built at the park and not at Premier's fabricators, and it was heavier, so it has problems when its cold or windy. That's all I know, I don't know how that makes it heavier, but I have seen one of the trains parked on the transfer several times on windy days.
  19. Todd at Tower told me a few weeks ago, it was REALLY windy and he was explaining why the third train was on the transfer.
  20. One of the trains is heavier than the other two, which is why sometimes when its windy they only run two trains.
  21. I saw it too. I was surprised it hadn't been covered or removed yet.
  22. Right, but the park still owns the land it sits on.
  23. From what I learned last year and this year: Video cameras are a no-no in the indoor haunts and shows. I don't believe Psycho Path or the scarezones have a restriction on video cameras, but I'm not positive. Still cameras are okay, with the flash turned off. Although Cedar Point allows the use of flash in the outdoor scarezones, so you might be able to use flash at Worksite, Cornstalkers and Fear Street. I know that flashes are being used quite often with the scareactors posing for photos on IStreet and the new zone in Paramount Story. Just to be safe, I would check with the greeter at the attraction. I've only asked so far at Psycho Path, and was told that if the flash is off, cameras are fine there.
