Banshee: World's Longest Inverted Coaster
upstop replied to Coasterama's topic in Coming Attractions
Slingshot will ruin the view of that spectacular first drop on Banshee...from just about every angle. -
Would you accept this as a replacement? (you might want to mute the sound unless you want to hear useless commentary.)

I can think of a certain Disney attraction's song that would be far worse. Space Mountain? Main Street Electrical Parade?

Banshee: World's Longest Inverted Coaster
upstop replied to Coasterama's topic in Coming Attractions
The energy in that crowd was amazing. Cedar Point's plinko at Gatekeeper and Millennium Force is $5, and your chance of winning a front-of-the-line pass is less than 20%. Furthermore, the front-of -line pass is only good for the attraction featured on the game. Hopefully things are better here. It's a game of chance. Odds are you will get a 2 for one coupon...but that's a chance you take. Although I stood at the Diamondback coaster and watched at least 5 people get the front of the line pass. And a couple of those people paid twenty or more dollars before they hit the jackpot and none of them cared that they spent enough to buy half a Fastlane before they hit....future casino gutter dwellers in action. -
Anything Celtic will fit the theme as long as every 20 minutes or so and from a random direction, they have that ear piercing screech like they did at unveil. This might work...

$15.99 and $16.99.

although.......A Giga would be cool in Vortex's place too.... Oh no....I'm... torn between two coasters....feeling like a fool... Loving both of them is breaking all the rules...
-
I'm hoping that when Vortex meets it's expiration date, a floorless comes in it's place!!!!

I'd love to see one at KI....hopefully next time. Bizarro looks incredible.

How about this....Planet Snoopy gets the first Children's giga coaster?

Excellent video!!!! Thanks for posting!!!

You might be a KI addict if you are driving up I71 and you see what you assume to be rollercoaster parts and pieces on every flatbed truck.

Medieval Faire...with a village of shoppes. With a faux drawbridge entrance. The center of the square could be used for a circular stage show. And have medieval games (like in the Capital One commercials...lol My suggestions in another thread were: Paint Delirium patina (copper and green) add a faux blade above the seats to look like the pendulum torture device and leave the name Delirium. Leave Invertigo name alone and paint the sign. Make Congo falls an indoor ride, maybe themed to some river legend Place the lower third of the Drop Tower inside of a castle turret, Paint the tower in a castle stone mosaic. rename the flight deck to something medieval....The Bat would work just fine (with the cave mentioned in still another thread) Oh....and stone pavers.....gotta love them.

Is it wishing too much to have an additional lift hill and more track....... I'll answer that....yes it is....

I would like to see a handful of good-ole fashioned carnival rides, something that KI is seriously lacking.

Maverick Restraint Discomfort
upstop replied to cjt121099's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
First time (only time) I rode Maverick, I was so excited that I was able to get the restraint locked easily, and then....the attendant used their foot and pushed the restraint down.....that was fun....haven't ridden it since. -
Or a nice long walk through a long, air-conditioned "cave" to the platform.

Take a few people with you so the lines for Banshee won't be so big.

I hope so, I think that would be an incredible idea!

The mcbr is actually at the very end of the ride after the final helix. There is probably a signal somewhere that says it is ok to release the train, but it will not crest the hill until the train reaches the final brake run. then the car in the brake run will advance until it is in the transfer track position, leaving space for the newly released train to emergency brake if needed.
