Now you are talking.....THAT IS THEMING! Doesn't have to be animatronics....something as simple as a fountain or a gargoyle statue!
-
Wow!....I'd have to jump like a rollercoaster tycoon peep at the entrance and say "Coaster 1 is too intense for me"
-
donations for charity.....now that is a great idea! Or better yet....an event for charity....How about something like Rides for 'insert charity name', a coaster event.

Interestingly....several years ago I remember Jeff Seibert mentioning that they had hired a former Disney employee who was responsible for some of the design for Boomerang Bay and on a pre opening tour of Boomerang Bay, Jeff described some of the Disney techniques that were being utilized there... I wonder who the former Disney employee was if he is still working at Cedar Fair?

A new boss is in the house....(and he's from Disney...they are the masters of theming.) Even if it is just a themed plaza...that's cool with me...
-
Me like!!!! Maybe even a waterfall/cave that goes back into the valley...

The three orange vents are drains, what puzzles me is how close they are....I'm interested because why have three drains so close together, unless there is a large volume of water in the area. EDIT: BTW - Great pictures!!!

Come on guys, Why would Mr. Ouimet lie? He was asked a direct question and answered that there were no more planned. He has a reputation to keep and being caught in a lie is not acceptable, especially to the stock holders/ investors at Cedar Fair. Mr. Ouimet could have easily dodged the question but he answered truthfully. The reason he won't disclose information about any coaster is quite clear....coasters are built for fun and to generate profits during season pass sales. If he were to have blurted out the coaster type in April for next year, the excitement about the new coaster would have dwindled to nothing by season pass sales time, and the stock holders/investors would have looked at saying something early as a bad public relations move. JUST WAIT UNTIL IT IS ANNOUNCED THAT SEASON PASS SALE ARE TO BEGIN...then expect an announcement soon after. Give him some credit, he's probably as excited about this coaster as you, and he just can't say anything. EDIT: Also implying that he's a liar on a public forum, is not good for the reputation of this site either.

Personally, I think Dinosaurs Alive at night would be a great haunt attraction. Just low level lighting and higher speaker volume. I also thought it would be cool to have a haunt attraction near the Dig Pit area where guests could be transported on a tour to "safety" from the entrance through the trail to the main attraction in the dig area. (golf cart transports). The exit could be right where the old trail of terror was back into x-base. I'd call it Dinosaurs Alive Attack!!!

Delta Delta Die - I remember DED (Delta Epsilon Delta) at Busch Gardens....and I didn't completely get the point. I was kind of a Satan meets Sorority attraction....big difference, well...it was like Club blood for the ladies....lots of half naked guys tied down or being tortured....actually it was kind of weird but not scary. Board to death - sounds like a lumberjack/carpenter theme to me. Backwoods Bayou - sounds like a scare zone but could be really cool if it were indoors.

Hey, It's a rollercoaster! It's going to go rather high, drop fast and have inversions and it's going to draw in visitors so the park can create what....more rollercoasters! Regardless of whether it's the kind of coaster you want today, I figure you will ride it and you just might have fun and the end result will be something bigger and better in a couple of years. It's a cyclical thing...I'm just excited that it will have wheels and a track.

Iron Maiden would be a good name for a coaster.
-
Al Pacino also starred in Scarface in 1983 and it was remade starring Fabio in 1999

I and a few others think the scarecrows look more like angry villagers.

Those vent grates look as if they're for rainwater drainage system. Yes those are drainage outlets....my question is why are there three and so close to each other,,,, unless there is a need to drain another source of water other than directed rainwater....

Starting to Decode gone?
upstop replied to DBInternational's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Wow....looks like from more recent posts, the event was postponed until the investigation was completed...and everyone was suspect since the "individuals" and it sounds like maybe the original poster have been dealt with by the park and the party is back on....now that is sad...plus lots of potential new members and customers have fled the site....the entire investigation should have been transparent. -
Death at Six Flags over Texas
upstop replied to mullimann's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Perhaps my gullible statement was extreme, however, interviewing whomever will talk and then reporting it as "eyewitness" fact does not constitute "making" a story from what you have. The reporter should cross reference information to conclude what is reliable. This is why we have so many corrected headlines and people being dragged through the coals on false or inaccurate information. The reporter should always consider the source of information. -
Great! Looking forward to viewing your first TPR/report!

Great! (Hope I didn't double post anything!!!

posts have been popping on and off all day. I've made posts to only see them gone an hour later....and then they magically reappear...

Yes. (Otherwise, there'd be no event). Gator, who once again, just had to. EDIT: Okay, I better stop with that. Even I'm starting to get annoyed with me! You got me....LOL

If it's not rollercoaster related.....not interested....

Anyone get an invite?

I remember wrenching my neck in the double up. That was a brutal trick track section! Kind of like the trick track on Phantom's Revenge (double down near the end of the ride). Its like a speed bump.
