Are you talking about the one that's one the building near Red Beard's Revenge? There's no way that's the same one. That's not anywhere near the size of the one that was on the tower. I'm guessing they took down the one on the tower so they could do the cool lighting effects without the banner being out of place.
no, when you look at the trail for the worksite from the line for the bumper cars, look at the wall they created for the maze, there you will see not only the big Diamondback banner as part of the wall but also two of the big teaser signs that were at swan lake.
-
ok why did Kings Island choose you use the Diamondback banner that was on the effiel tower for part of the wall of the haunted maze the worksite, along with at least two of the Diamondback hint signs?

-
So? Why is that a reason that you don't want it to happen?
when did i say i didn't want it to happen?

-
well, i didn't find this embarrassing at all, but last week at Halloween Haunt i was having a very difficult time walking through all of the smoke from the smoke machines, so i begain to wave my hands around wildly to try to make it easier for me to see, then when the machine shut off i didn't realize it and was left waving my hands around wildly with multiple people watching.

very, very interesting....... If it is true then it could be a swing or a miss or a home run.....Moving away from louisville possibley means loseing some buisnees but then again finally haveing room and no height restriction it could be a wise desicion.
i do know that i would love for this to happen, mainly because i just live about a half hour away from kentucky speedway.

last year we were on the forward racer. as we were going up the second hill, some kids on the backward train were pointing and laughing.
that's when my sister realized her blouse was open and she was giving the kids a show.
the same sister that is now on these boards?

ok, I've been visiting my beloved Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom for 10 years now and I do think it's approaching it's dimmise.....I went one day and it was kinda sad walking around the park looking at old stuff that needs love bad! I think if they can grab some of the convention center area since the Louisville Cardinals switched from freedom hall to the Yum Center that they could expand but right now theere land locked with no where to go.....I think the park could still make really good buisnees like it is now if it was just a waterpark but I really don't want it to happen....I just hope that my next visit is the last...
i'm not sure how true it is, but i heard that they bought alot of land somewhere close to kentucky speedway and are, in the near future, moving the park there.
once again this is just what i heard by several different people.

^^Wait a minute...Maverick over MF?!?!
Uh...you have a problem with that?
Terpy, whose favorite steel coaster is...by far...Maverick. Yes, Maverick. But ONLY in the front seat.
i agree that the only good seat on maverick is the front

I might have posted this before but.... A few months ago while in line for SOB two college guys said
Guy 1: Look at the roller coaster sway!
Guy 2: Wow, it looks like it's about to tip over
Guy 1: Especially when the train comes by
Me: it's supposed to move like that, if the supports just stood 100% still when a train passes that wouldn't be normal...
Guy 1: No... didn't you hear about when all the people died on this a few years ago?
Me: No one has ever died on SOB, only got minor injuries
Guy 2: Uh Uh, i saw on the news that it was in the middle of the ride and going to fast, then all the wood fell and the train flew off the track and killed about 45 people...
I kept trying to correct him and tell him what really happened but he wouldn't believe me.
wow, i think the funniest thing about this is that the most a train has ever held on Son of Beast is thirty six, and are there any trains that hold more than that?

at Halloween Haunt on the 17th:
"i always am uneasy when i ride a new ride at Kings Island, due to all of the deaths asociated with the rides that are already there." then he started talking about all of the people that "died" on The Bat
this next guy wasn't joking when he said this
"Diamondback will feature an element that so far only it has used"
"really what is it the spashdown?"
" no the ability to jump from one section of the track to another."

Wow it must have took some man power to push the train back up the hill. Sounds like a cool experience.
Not if you're one of the guys trying to push that train up the hill.
so do they really just push and pull on train or do they hook it to a wench?

-
I'm still trying to figure out where a splashdown fits into the theme...Not that I'm opposed to it...But when I think of Diamondbacks (Rattlesnakes)...I think of the desert and things of that nature.
maybe, since rattlesnakes are in the desert, mirage

could someone give me an example of how they could change the entrance to The Beast? because i can't think of any other way of getting back to The Beast, unless they take out laroses and have the line start in there
-
my favorite memory of 2008 was getting to watch Diamondback take shape.
-
o.k. in Diamondbacks stats it says that it features 10 drops total, but i only count 9, unless i count when you come up out of the spashdown and then crest to go into the final break run as a drop, so is that where they get 10

......mabye some hot pink and neon green
only if the ride was completely inclosed and was surrounded by black lights.
-
Yellow and Tan is fine with me.
however...
Black supports would have looked awesome and menacing.
And wouldn't have fit the Diamondback theme very well. It would have looked a tad obnoxious, to.
In what way would it look obnoxious?
i wondered the same thing.

Sorry for the double post but this is precious:It would suck if Cedar Fair bought PKI. PKI runs its parks better. Besides, if you look at what happened when CF bought SFOH, they gave all the passholders new passes, but made it so Geauga Lake (what they renamed it) passholders cant get into any other Cedar Fair Parks besides Knotts Berry Farm. They also can't get into any six flags parks. If they bought PKI, it would probably be the same thing. We would no longer be able to get into any other Paramount Park, but our passes also would not be able to get us into Cedar Point.
I don't think they would shut down PKI. If they were in the business of buying the competition, and shutting it down, GL would have closed already. But I do think the park will be better under Paramount.
did they expect you to be able to get in a park free that wasn't even owned by the company you bought your pass from. that's sorta like you buy a car an expect the key to fit in whatever you want to drive.

i don't know, i think it would look alright. plus you spelled too wrong.

Not a hater, but some one scared of heights and that ride pushed my limits of how far I will go! LOL But since I have been on Nighthawk and Firehawk (both of them) I am looking forward to going on TTD next time I go to CP.
NH and FH scared me more than TTD!and just so you know it isn't as bad the second time because you know what to expect.

i personally don't think it should be though.
Care to explain why? And don't give me Jesus as a reason. Give me a fully valid reason that doesn't involve religion.
rex.
well, that's about it but anyway i also don't like walking around an amusment park all day, any day not just sunday and having to smell beer on people.
Sorry!!! I don't believe in your Jesus, and even if I did, I still wouldn't have a problem with drinking alcohol on the Sabbath. That's a day of relaxation, and what better way to relax than a nice, cool adult beverage and a bunch of coasters? We all don't share your religious viewpoints, so I am quite glad that the lawmakers in charge are not allowing people of a certain religion to specify when I can and cannot enjoy libations.
Also, didn't your Jesus turn water into wine? Sounds like He'd agree with me!
rex.
i also said(just not in these words) that i don't like to be in a place with a suposed family atmosphere and there be beer for sale.
I agree!!! That's why I think restaurants such as Applebees and O'Charley's and so forth should also not serve alcohol. What about the children that get exposed to such a seedy element when all they want is some chicken nuggets and a plate of macaroni?!?! I hope you will support family restaurants such as these eradicating their liquor sales, as well.
And my god, what about when families go grocery shopping and they have to see all that hideous alcohol on the shelves? Should stores that pride themselves on feeding the children of the world sell such monstrosities?
Basically, I think you have a silly opinion and I am glad the park does not listen to you.
rex.
and i think you have a silly habit.
we can go both ways with this.
-
And then the darn thing rolls back, and they make me get off and go around again if I want to ride it again!
Amen! Sweet Thrills that ride gives. The one Ride where rollbacks are good!
don't forget the boomerangs

well, its not like they are pouring buckets of water on you, its just a few drips here and there, and when i went threw this maze it was only a 10 minute wait.
