o.k. i think i know why i have been thinking that Son of Beast got stuck upside down and here it is
when Son of Beast was first opened to the public the pictures in the papers were always of the train in the loop and when Son of Beast opened to the public i was only in second grade and because of in second grade i thought what was in the picture was what was happening so i guess when i saw Son of Beast's picture of it in the loop and i guess i thought it was stuck there

i don't know for shore if this has been asked before but why didn't they make a new animation for Firehawk when it was opened as x-flight? instead they used the extreamly inaccurate animation for borg i mean not only was the ride a different layout(by that i mean borg has corkscrews and Firehawk has inline roles) the trains on eather ride didn't have the restraints in the animation and to top it all off the trains reclined on the lift hill in the animation. i can under stand the inaccurate animation for borg but they should have had enough time to make a new one for x-flight/Firehawk

Something else to nibble on, there's a natural spring where Congo sits. If anyone remembers Screamin' Demon (which was in Congo's spot) there was a lake under it due to the spring. It would be a bit of a pain to put a non-water ride there.
first off i know this wasn't a natural spring but they did build The Beast over the run off water from the old water ride that was replaced by tomb raider and if it is a steel coaster all they would have to do is design the ride to not have a support going into it and is there really a natural spring there? i seriously thought they built the pond with the ride but i guess i think it would be bigger than what is in the pictures of screamin' demon
and before i forget isn't millinnium force built partly on and island? and if so wouldn't they have had to build over water?

And with regards to someone mentioning Son of Beast getting stuck upside down. It never was stuck in the loop with riders. The first season it was open, a train did get stuck half way up the lift hill, and the riders had to be evacuated down the lift stairs.
i would have bet money that Son of Beast got stuck upside down with people more that once and as for seven every one makes a mistake but top gun may be your ride but Son of Beast is my ride
If im right, SOB has never got stuck on the loop...
and i can't find anything saying it did but for some reason i keep believing it did and i can't stop thinking that

^Shoulder restraints? Wha?
because of the lap bars wedging you into your seat the ride didn't need over the shoulder restraints or a seat belt when it had the loop.

We don't need any more used rides, especially if they are VERY similar to a ride we already have.
i never said anything about needing it i just was saying how many different drop rides Cedar Point has compared to Kings Island and that if it wasn't moved to Kings Island it wouldn't be because of it already having two other drop rides

I still blame Six Flags for the Down fall of GL.
. (I am not relating this to GL at all): I wonder what it would be like if Six Flags aquired KI! Just imagine it: Six Flags Worlds of Adventure 2; or Six Flags Over Ohio! What a train wreck that would be!i dought that just because of when it was sea world ohio or whatever it was it never made any money so they sold it to six flags and i'm guessing the same thing happend with six flags, then six flags sold it to Cedar Fair where they simi tride to revive it and then turned(really in the procces of turning) it into a water park

but the people that own the park that would buy it would be smart enough to know that the rides are two completly different rides
Of course the people purchasing are smart enough to know the difference between the two rides.
But it is the people that spend money to ride that count the most.
If they don't know the difference, and are afraid to ride it, what is the point of buying it?
yeah and there really arn't that many people scared they are going to loose there feet i mean look at drop zone, that sure didn't slow people down from riding that and take Son of Beast people got hurt on that and people are still riding that so it also depends on who all comes to your park like thrill seekers usually don't care about the rides accident history and other people hear that a carnivil swing broke and then won't ride any swing any where

This isn't really a rumor but I wasn't sure where to place this so here it is. I've heard in years past that Cedar Point was trying to sell Demon Drop. So I was wondering two things:
#1. Is CP still trying to get rid of Demon Drop?
#2. If so, is there a chance they may just relocate it to one of their own parks?
The reason I ask is because I think it would make a great addition to Coney Mall at KI.
We already have Drop Zone (which is bigger and faster), and Plankton's Plunge. Do we Really need another one? I say give it to a park that doesn't have one (Geauga Lake! Oh, Wait,).
i'm guessing that didn't turn out as funny as you thought it was going to and demon drop is different than plankton's plunge and drop zone because last time i checked you didn't pull out of the drop and end up on your back on drop zone or plankton's plunge
plus Cedar Point has power tower demon drop and a plankton's plunge(but it is themed with frogs) and when you think about it that is like having six different drop rides where Kings Island would only have three different drop rides

IJST is open for HH, and is listed on the official map for HH. TR won't be open for other reasons. Not because of a retheme, but the same reason it's been shut down most of the season.
Just incase anyone was doubting the renaming of such attractions as IJ, Top Gun and TR.....ALL ride merchandise for those attractions is now 60% off in the gift shops! Just an FYI.

is that any thing that says there names or is it because of the fact majority of there stuff says paramount?
The signs that I saw in Emporium tonight SPECIFICALLY stated Italian Job, Top Gun and Tomb Raider merchandise. Likewise, there were signs advertising all Paramount branded merchandise as well.

I'm very surprised that Six Flags didn't drop KK to be honest. In my opinion KK is a very sub-par park. There are some decent rides, but for the most part it's just mediocre. If I'm going to drive that far, I'd rather just go to Holiday World.
yeah because to me kentucky kingdom is to six flag as geauga lake is to Cedar Fair(before it became only a water park)

for the people that thought the restraints were uncomfterable in the origional Son of Beast trains look at it this way that being weaged in your seat by the restraint was what was keeping you from having over the shoulder restraints.

However, there's absolutely no themeing or storyline to even come close to tying the movie in with a themed ride. Face Off (opened the samed year as DZ) is even worse when it came to tying the ride into a movie theme. They could have named either one "Titanic" and the ride themeing wouldn't have been any more disconnected.
and that explains it i have never heard of a movie named Drop Zone, until now that is

I will be surprised if CP is able to sell it. Especially now with the unfortunate incident at KK. Even though both ride are completely different, all the general public heard was "feet taken off" and "drop ride". CP has traditionally planned for expansion/ new rides many years in advance. The decision to sell DD was not made overnight. CP has something planned for that section of the park. We just don't know for what year.

and i have only ridden dd twice and i found it to be a very enjoyable ride(that was until i was on my back feeling like i was de-railing)

also Could there be a page on here devoted to all rides taken out one picture of it and its stats and start date and finish date???
i don't know if it has its stats or date of start and finish but go to photo gallery and scroll down to defunct rides
but i don't know if that will help you with all you want

Sorry but if it were allowed where everyone could delete their own posts then we (the mods) would have nothing to moderate because all the rude remarks are deleted. On top of that we need to keep moderator notes on who is/or is not doing something against the TOS. So sorry, what you post is what you post. Just watch what you say and I guaranty there will be nothing to worry about.
i am not worried about that any more i just want to know how come when i restarted my topic on the Son of Beast accident it is deleated.

Basically if someone makes a post that's in violation of the Terms of Service agreed to when you signed up for these forums, I just delete it and deal with it on an individual level. However, sometimes we can't get to single posts fast enough and someone makes some sort of rude comment and 5 or 10 people respond to it with more rude comments. At that point, it's hard to salvage the thread.
so was it because of my topic i started or haunt guy calling my dad a whale?

which one because i just read the tos and it didn't see anything that said any thing about the subject being bad and if it was about hauntguy's comment about my dad could you give the forum starter the ability to delete a nasty remark from their forum so they will not be deleted as mine was? because that makes me mad that i got my forum deleted because of one persons remark
Your topic was fine. One person made a rude remark and several other people started slinging mud at each other after that. I'm sorry that your topic disappeared, but it is what it is.
here is the proof that you said my topic was fine so i posted it again. then i exited the internet and logged back in so i wouldn't hit the back button and erase it that way, then after i logged back in and it was there i went to canada's wonderland's web-site to ride behemoth and now that i am back it is gone. so why does it keep being deleted?

Odd. The promotional video animations for Medusa, Kingda Ka and El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure were almost exactly like the final rides. Eerily the same, actually.

yeah if only the ride was 1/100 of what it was in the animation. i mean that is one thing i don't like about animations is the fact that the ride is never like what it shows theme wise and special effect wise any way

The park does NOT count Racer as two. It DOES count Avatar: The Last Airbender as a coaster. Sometimes. And sometimes not.
then how come on KICentral.com the unofficial web-site of Kings Island has it listed as a family ride? because i am really confused
